The world celebrated my sister`s birthday too

On 25 of December 2010, I was in Delhi to celebrate the `first` birthday of my recently married sister Mrs Abha.

When she was not married we never celebrated our birthdays formally. But it was her husband who initiated for the formal celebration. I was happy and excited for the event. I reached there in the afternoon.

It was my first visit to my sister`s in laws. I was pleasantly surprised when I was immediately located by my new brother in Law Mr Tarun when I came out from the Delhi Metro. He was with an additional helmet for me. We reached the house in 30 minutes. Tarun kept explaining me about the landmarks to reach his house easily next time onward. He was good at biking too.

The house was beautiful and adorable. We had our lunch within an hour. My sister, who was not that `active` before marriage, in making food, had made a variety of items for me. All were `rated` not less than 4.5 out of 5 !!

In the evening, we went for purchasing some items. I was given the Bajaj Discover Bike to drive and himself took Bajaj scooter for him along with my sister. I was thus given a `preferential` treatment. Thanks to Tarun.

We purchased eggless cake which was sponsored by me. Rest of the eatables was managed by Tarun. He even managed a beautiful flower set to be gifted to my sister later. On his father`s instruction, he purchased `Orpat` Halogen Room heater just for Rs 1000. I was impressed with his bargaining power too.

For the celebration in the night, we had small gathering consisting of me, my sister, Tarun and his parents. On sister`s request, I postponed the Chicken dish as she did not want to be responsible to the death of a chicken on his birthday... lol. But, I was impressed by her logic.

We used just one candle as it was her first `formal` birthday. She was so happy, double happy as I too joined her from Chandigarh. Today whole world was also celebrating her birthday, being Chrismas.

Next day, The chicken was especially made by both of them combined under `technical` guidance from Tarun. The dish was so tasty that I at once commented at Tarun, ``If I would not have taken birth as a human being, I would have missed this dish which has come so good made by you.``

Long live Tarun and my dear sister.
