It was Saturday the 1st of January 2011 at 0715hrs and I just had stopped my car and switched off the ignition. Suddenly a call came to my mobile and I received it. It was a new year wish from my parents. The call was short and I locked the car in an usual way and joined my duty. Duty went well.
Now it was 1415 hrs and I was near my car again to go home. But I could not find the Car key.
I took my memory to a flash back. Oh my God the ignition key was left inside the car itself and the car was locked!! What to do now ? I did not want to take help of any of my colleagues as my ego said that my this mistake should not be known by any one...lol.
I decided to go by walk to my house some 4.5 Km away and next day while coming back I shall come with my bicycle. Well thought indeed. I started with an artificial smile as if I was voluntarily doing trekking !!
But, believe me, I was feeling a fresh change on the first day of the new year. While walking at a comfortable pace I had ample chance to observe each scene with much details than ever. So many philosophical ideas kept creeping inside my mind as my mind was not engaged other than walking. Shall share one such idea in a connecting diary just after finishing this one.
The destination was reached in some one hour. Wife was worried about why I did not receive the call. I gave a smile and explained it. She also smiled. After this walk, I was feeling so energetic and relaxed too. I found my lunch as one of the tastiest in recent times.
After the lunch, I was pondering that I did the walk because of my `lapse`, but feeling so good with the walk. Why not to do it regularly along with my whole family.
This idea has been accepted and we shall be doing regular walk in the evening. New year resolution, hinted by God.
