14 Nov 2005. I was posted in Agra.
I had got engaged on 10 Sep to Ms Rashmi. As per certain tradition, my father in law was in Agra to have some purchases, related to mymarriage in Feb 2006.
My father in law was a serving JCO( Subedar) with the Indian Army. He looked so young and good looking as if he was elder brother of my would be wife.
The purchasing took some four hours. He was to move to his posted place, Jhansi, by train, which was at 1700 hrs from Agra Fort station.I was taking him on my bike, but the Railway phatak near the station got closed for some 15 minutes. It was already 1650 hrs.
He said, `` Son, let`s run towards the station.``
I parked the bike by the side of the road and accompanied him.
Oh my God, he, along with a sky bag, was at least 10 meters ahead of me by the time he covered a total of 500 meters to reach the train which was on ditto right time!!
I started pondering that I was a practicingblack belt martial artist and a mountaineer as well with more than 6 years of regular practice. Also, I was much younger to him. How he could be ahead of me in running?
I feel, it`s the toughest Indian Army training.
