THE LOST RUPEE!!

"Days come with gathered fortune, while the others come to seep luck".This is a quote that I read the other day.Which obviously meant little to me.As all of you remember I know exactly what the term "LUCK" means? .Without bothering much attention I was off to another hectic day schedule.Which included transporting myself to the epicenter of books, scribbling down with a pen onto a rough paper for learning and showing faces which would register my name on the attendance sheets of respectable class subjects.Never came a day when my usual day-to-day routine will make amends and hand a grandeur of extravagant entertainment but to my surprise today was such a day.You must be wondering what is so special about this day, evening and night divided span of time. Well off course it is! its my cousin sister annie's birthday. She is the only dearest sister that acknowledges my problems.Takes time off from her leisure and spends time with me.As she only has to spend time in leisure for the rest of her life.Being deaf and dumb as well as paraplegic has its drawbacks ain't it! .She is becoming 20 and I thought why not give her a gift that is not only pleasant but it will take her to the clouds for the angels to shower her with their blessings. She liked this part as it made her sleep during her childhood days.It was a part from her beloved fairy tale. She is a religious girl, who likes praying and becoming holy.Recently, her attention has been drawn by the "story of Jesus Christ" as she knew very little about it.

Meanwhile I left my house taking the required sum and the tools to have another exhausting cum exciting day.I crossed the street, as the bus stand was on the other side.I was about to raise myself inside the bus when my habit of tingling with things that are safe and secure pulled me down.I felt my pocket and the only thing that can bring a radiant smile across my sisters face was gone. The only 100 rupee note that was lying in my pocket had taken a stroll with the winds.Maybe I am seeing the funny side of it but it was not funny.I checked my bag, tampered with my memory and checked every pockets. The only things I found was leaving my house and my headphone.I rushed back to my house.Checked there and its outskirts if it was still lying there but to my unsuccessful attempt.Obviously I would never find it now! still I had to do something to give her the only day.I rang my friend and asked him for this favor as I was very frank when it came to asking for pennies. He said, "alright come and give me a visit".I felt relaxed when he uttered this sentence and paid him the visit he wanted. As soon I reached his place, he burnt my whole hope down when he said "i don't have a change of hundred" and waved a 500 rupee note across my face.I am sure you understand what it means to find a change for a 500 rupee note.Especially in a country like India. It was no use getting furious at him as I was running out of time and it was nearly evening.I said to him, "lets give it a try".Until we finally gave up at the last store of the other side of the street.I said to him "no problem, I will arrange it from somewhere else" and made my way to my college asking each and everyone of my friends. And the failing continues. It was 7: 00 pm .I had to give her this gift before this day runs out.I had one final hope that could decide the outcome. My uncle's shop was nearby as I was in the epicenter of books. The only disadvantage that was blocking my path was my father asking him for slight debt from time to time.It contributed as well even before I could ask him he replied, "My pockets are a little less weighed for the moment".He recognized me as I was the errand boy to complete the debt transaction.

Trying to forget everything I felt the painful pinch of "Why did you loose the money? ".As soon as I placed my feet inside the house. My ears started ringing with wheelchair wheels squeaking.I saw in front of my gaze stood Annie. Her expression told a story she was indeed waiting for something from me this time as I gave her plenty of vibes.I could barely look at her and tears almost shattered my eyes with its pressure.I was about to cry when suddenly my elder brother came home.He went straight to annie, I thought just like every year.He will just wish her as he could barely afford a dime.Instead he got to his knees in front of her and brought his hand from his back.He was holding a wrapped gift.He shouted "SURPRISE" and teared the wrap to sink me in a deep amazement. As it was the same gift I had desired to give it to her.I was amazed because the gift was so unique nobody can guess it.Meanwhile I had never seen my sister so much filled with excitement and happiness. While the family rejoiced in her enjoyment, I pulled my brother to a corner and asked how he got hold of the money. He said, "i found a hundred rupee note lying below our house and managed to grab hold of her reading a blog on Jesus"thereby ending up with the gift.I was about to say "your thought is so similar to mine" and give him a hug but instead no words came out of my mouth.I just gave him the hug.He whispered to my ear, "Don't tell anybody its a secret".I said, "ok! " and we too rejoiced with her.It was not that my brother found my lost rupee lying and fulfilled my gift.It might had been another rupee WHO KNOWS! .The only thing that will venture into my memory forever, is that this lost rupee bought her this unique gift "A BIBLE".
