It is a wonderful day,"this 23rd January 2014".Not because it is a day with chirping birds,nesting squirrels and blue skies with blurred cloud effects to give you a feeling of the song "What a wonderful world-Louis Armstrong".No siree! By the way you have heard that song haven't you? sure you have!.If you haven't heard that song,"No,I don't mean to say go to i-tunes and get served big".Believe me I have not been paid to promote an advert.In short if you haven't heard about the song,think about any respectable song relating to your respectable language that gives you a good feeling of nature.Meanwhile,lets get to the day in hand.Let me get to the part,"Why this current day is wonderful for me".It is because we are going to my aunt's house.I always loved going there especially the location being so serene and soothing, you get energized and enthusiastic to perform any tasks whatsoever.Certainly,if your house is located on the main road with hooting traffic buzzing your ears like honeybees.Anyways,I woke up late around 9:00 am and got kicked by my brother to start an early journey.No,don't find it rude!he does that to wake me up form the enslavement of sleep.Really,when I get gulped by the sand in my eyes and enter dreamland I become scullery for it.That's only the first reason,the second reason being I smirch saliva all over his pillow whenever I sleep. Hehe! what can I say in the words of," Zach galifianakis from the movie due date-I am a deep sleeper".Now don't make me say you haven't watch this movie.Just leave it! why am I always diverting from the point in hand,which is "what did I do after I woke up".Well,let me mop about the fact a wee bit quickly.After I woke up I tried to sip an extremely hot coffee that fumed my tongue and cursed me,"You will not have lunch today",We all got inside a local bus and again repeated a segment from "A BAD DAY IN THE OFFICE",getting off was as hard as getting up,still we managed to sneak through the invaders of the lost bus.That is what they acted like.Gosh,is there only one such bus in the whole damn city,When we reached the locality I began to feel calm and assured that we were finally away from the mishaps of the world.When suddenly my woes continued further.I forgot to mention even though the locality has less people,it has no less ravenous herbivores. Off course,I am not talking about crows or cats in my narrative.In fact there are more mad creatures that think we are like King Kong and want to settle on their part of the neighborhood.In one word,"Dogs".These are no simple domestic dogs but gone mad after serious injuries,scars and wounds on their necks,legs and heads.We think them to be foolish creatures.Well,they also have a war like us which is,"A war for the hood".Anyways,they brutally screamed as we crossed their area my mother told us not to look at them.Especially me,when I look at them it gives me the feeling that I look at Anubis's slaves.God,I breath a sigh of relief when we finally reached my aunt's house.Where we were offered sweets,snacks and ice-tea.Thank god!you won't get to know the feeling unless you have suffered from the same consequence of the"Burned tongue". It was rather difficult to engage in the flavoring.However they were cold. After a while I met with my sisters and asked them how studies were panning out and what they where up-to-lately,I also got to hear the same.Meanwhile,a peculiar thing that I noticed was that everyone including my grandfather,grandmother and cousins was there except my uncle and aunt.On being asked my grandmother said that my aunt had gone to the hospital for a regular check-up after the severe pains on her stomach which she though was due to gas,while my uncle was out of station for a few days and will be back after his work gets over.
After a while me,my brother and sisters played ludo for a while before having a long awaited family reunion lunch.Meanwhile as it was almost 3 0' clock in the afternoon.I began to get worried as my aunt was still not back from the hospital.On being asked again my grandmother replied,"She said she also had to go to the beauty-parlor".I got sad as it was long enough before I had seen my aunt plus she also missed the lunch.We were edging close to our departure but still there was no sign of her.I sensed there was something grandma didn't tell us .Anyways,around 6'o clock as soon as we had coffee.My mother,father and me and my bro took the blessings of my grandmother before taking her permission to leave.When suddenly the light was blacked out while the outside was pretty brighter than ever.Since,my aunt's house was a big one we couldn't see a thing.Only got to hear each others exclamation stating,"Who turned off the lights","Must be one of those naughty boys from the neighbors","Have we paid the electricity bill" and "I will go and check the fuse".Until,finally the lights came on and to our shock we saw my aunt and uncle standing in opposite directions inside the house.Both shouted "SURPRISE" and then looked at each other with complete silence and attention.I ran and hugged my aunt and said to her,"good one aunty".Actually my uncle was a shocking element in the family he always tried to surprise everyone with his unknown arrivals,but my aunt never surprised us in this way.The family started rejoicing their arrivals while both my uncle and aunty laughed at us making us look fools.Soon they both hugged each other and told us the story that my uncle had planned this surprise for himself and as he came from the front entrance he saw the light was already gone.While he always surprised us through the back entrance where the fuse was and rigged it before entering the house.Since,the lights were already switched off,he decided he will come from the front.This is where my aunt interrupted and said," because it was me who came from the back and rigged the fuse because I wanted to surprise you and co-incidentally it was the same time.Then I asked her,"We all know uncle's reason for surprise which was "Uninvited arrivals".What was your sudden reason.Suddenly her smile became a shy laughter as she looked at my uncle and said,"Well,I never went to the hospital today and was hiding at the neighbor's house as I heard your arrivals".We were all flummoxed and bedraggled as soon as we heard this.Then she said,"My doctor appointments was a week before and. ."We all asked AND? she continued,"I just wanted to surprise you".We all asked WITH WHAT?she continued."I am pregnant".For a brief moment everyone got so silent that we only heard the shrill noise of a cricket coming from outside.After which a huge cheer gathered the family in a wave.While my uncle hugged my aunt so hard she replied,"stop,you will kill the baby".While they both smiled at each other and knocked each others head so lightly that even others will feel jealous.As they also demanded some attention.I got to admit my aunt's surprise had outclassed my uncle's in every way.
