Posting a DP after a long break (call this as third innings ;) ). A warm hello to my old friends and an introductory hi to the new friends.
Many a times I start wondering if man created a society or society created man. If man created the society, why do we need to behave in a particular pattern that is appropriate for the society? We tend to forget the basic rule - of our own selves being behind the creation of these rules.
When we are children, we do not exactly know what is a good attitude or a bad attitude and we are unpretentious, unless of course corrected by the elders. When we grow old, there is a thought flickering in the mind "log kya kahenge". It is not the matter of image alone, but also is about hurting the people we love. No doubt, our actions are influenced by them. But if we show a damn-care attitude, we not only earn the name of inappropriate decision making but in case independent decision-making if wrong would destroy our confidence in decision making again. In this case, people may take us to be stubborn, selfish and even crazy. A don't care attitude helps us though. So, is making mistakes, learning and still maintaining your identity a better option or have a good name and listen and follow what majority says is a more sensible idea? In case of the latter, you may suffocate as you think of the fact that your self identity is lost.
