It was a long wait. A period of hope, challenges, problems, solutions, precautions and dreams. Those months that were like the journey to be concluded into an exciting destination. A long walk in which if you count the last milestone, it feels like eternity but it feels like a small journey if you count the next milestone. Even as we came to know about the bundle of joy we would be welcoming by the end of the year, I was thinking more about the next doctor's visit rather than the delivery. Every day felt so different. Now if I look back, I can compare it with the visit to pilgrimage. At some places you almost slip or feel tired. At other times, the gentle breeze makes the journey very pleasant. As you grow more tired with each step, so does the joy of nearing the destination. Of course, the destination can be seen with eyes but your leg refuses to co-operate until you sped every ounce of energy in dragging yourself to the destination. As you take the last step that needs maximum effort, you reach the threshold of pilgrimage and a single glance at God makes your journey worth it. So did my son's first glance at me who was born 3 weeks ago (Today when I look back I realize what precious lessons the little one has taught me - of patience, of not ignoring oneself, enjoying every small aspect of life and a hope of a beautiful tomorrow.)

As the year comes to an end, so does the endless waiting period. So, waving goodbye to the wonderful year which taught me a lot and welcoming the new year with open arms,,,,So ring out the old and ring in the new.... Making a resolution to be on MS more often, be there for the little one all the time and losing weight (that last resolution will never be fulfilled... but never mind ;) )

HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS. May the year ahead bring you more joy, wealth, warmth and filled with good wishes.
