From a couple of weeks I m receiving an invitation by SMS for a meeting of all India Brahman Samaj in my territory. The essence of the msg is that I should feel proud to be a Brahman and this is the high time we should be united to do blah blah blah. In short the language is a provoking.
I simply delete such msgs immediately. I feel like emotionally blackmailed by this sort of content. Ya I feel proud to be what I am and what I belong to. There is nothing wrong being united on the name of caste, creed, religion, region or whatever. The intention should only be the internal growth of that particular segment. I have been associated with some previously and instead of fighting with inner drawbacks they choose to fight with the outside front. The objection I have with this kind of groups is that majority of the times they want to create a muscle power to stand up and show to take benefit from that so called politicians. sometimes I see key people having some political motive for creating such platforms.
Let me bring you to the pre independence scenario when non violation moment was spreading into the masses against British raj. To reach the masses in a real manner Gandhi and his fellow congressman has adopted this method to create awareness in different segments of the society. The overall intention was to reach out each and every person in the country. The idea was successful and even before the British govt. could understand the motive was accomplished.
Sometimes I feel now a days there is a new wave of separatism is hitting the societyon the name of such things. They emotionally blackmail you first on such things and if you join them you will find there is no motive of service of the needy behind all this. A position hungry group of people do some kind of show business. I have been associated with a couple of such organisations and my experience was that a very few people are really serious about doing something. Serious people are either sitting home with complains or they don't have time to work on the ground.
Off course every segment of the society or a country needs improvement, a voice which is been heard on bigger platforms but why to look into the matters on such parameters ? By birthI m Hindu Brahman if one of my friend is Muslim, or a Christian or a Sikh for me it only means he has a different food habits and a different method of prayers thats all.
Why do we need organisation who smell like they are demanding some separatism because of their caste creed religion or region. ?
If I really have a heart for servicing people do I will deny wiping off tears of someone who doesn't belong to my parameters ?
Why people want to Tag you into some Caste, Creed, Religion or Region ? why I can't see someone inviting me because I m just a human being? Why most of the people feel secure to be tagged ? Are you too ?
Excuse me please I don't like to be tagged ! I m already Tagged as a human being by default.
Sometimes I feel like shouting two lines from my poems -
