It is always a pleasure to meet virtual friends in real life. After my first MS meet last year, I was not able to attend any other meet due to various reasons.
MSian Jitender Mathur from Hyderabad came down on Sunday specifically to meet friends here. He had a good time with Mazhar bhai and Umeshji. I was unfortunately busy on Sunday and today, but finally managed to catch up with him today evening.
It was a real pleasure to meet Mathurji and Mazharbhai - we were able to spend some good quality time talking about a lot of topics including MS, new features, MSians, members who have left, members who have joined, etc. But the major topic of discussion was movies. Mathurji is truly a movie encyclopedia and not only has he watched most movies but is able to dissect and comment on finer aspects of most movies. It was really enlightening talking with him. It was also good to know that we shared a common interest in old Hindi songs. The three of us spent time discussing the music of Lata and Madan Mohan.
Since Mathurji was leaving for Hyderabad, I accompanied him to the railway station and saw him off. And I got the chance to spend some more time with him discussing various topic including my favourite - politics. Before I said goodbye, Mathurji gave me a script of his play in Hindi. It is really well-written and is all about communal harmony. It was really nice to read the script of a movie reviewer.
It was a nice evening spent meeting with friends. Hope to meet more and more MSians soon :)
