It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. While we are happy to finally zero in on an InMate worthy of the title of BigMate, we are also very sad that this one and a half month long jamboree of non stop entertainment has finally come to an end. Before we finally announce the winner, once again sincere thanks to all the voters, organisers and all participants. We are overwhelmed at the response the show has generated.
Our three finalists have handled this episode with aplomb. A mixture of solemn advice, wit, sarcasm and an aunt like concern. Take a bow Hemaniji @jains24 Saurabh @SG21 and Virat @viratbond for spending so much time resolving queries and regaling us with their thoughtful suggestions.

Join me ladies and gentleman in congratulating Saurabh Gupta @SG21, winner of the inaugural BigMate 2011. Saurabh has put in a tremendous performance throughout the series but had slipped last episode, but he is back with a bang. All our finalists gave a tough fight, at one time there was just half point difference between the top two, but by the time the last votes came in, Saurabh surged ahead to claim the crown of BigMate. Congrats also to the other two finalists who are by no means losers. Staying through 6 episodes are carrying out a variety of tasks is no small achievement. Your MS gifts are on the way.
We would have loved to see the event part sponsored/acknowledged by MS but in absence of encouragement forthcoming from their side, the organisers of BigMate (Nishant, Tanna and me) have decided to send 'real gifts' to the winner and the runner ups as a token of our appreciation for their effort and our love for them.
