Hi all,
I've been in India now for about a week. My mother and I came here to visit our relatives and to attend a family friend's wedding. My father came here for business related purposes.I took my journey from Dallas to Bangalore solo and came across some wonderful encounters. In the Dallas airport, I met a very friendly woman. She was just so sweet and bubbly. She kept telling me that I looked like I was 16! We had a delightful chat and exchanged contact details. She travels quite a bit for work but I hope we can reconnect in the near future.
From Dallas to London, I sat next to an interesting gentleman. He was from Norway and quite talkative. We chatted about everything from our different travel destinations to how cultures vary in our native countries. However, I was somewhat disappointed because he never managed to say bye or wish me farewell. Maybe I should have said something first or maybe he was turned off by my "sleepy" like state?
The London airport was bustling with people catching flights and waiting for them as well. The British accent has always been rather appealing to me so it was nice to hear something unique for a change. My flight from London to Bangalore was awfully long and tedious.
But once I arrived in Bangalore, I felt like I was walking upon familiar terrain. For some reason, I feel more at peace and comfortable here. It's such a pleasure to see people's faces and be welcomed with affectionate and loving hearts. My uncle is an oncologist and has 15 hospitals all over India. He invited me to come check out his hospital so I did. I took the auto myself for the first time. I then was asking around for my uncle and finally found him. Afterwards, I was directed to a guest relations executive. She gave me a splendid tour of the entire hospital. There are 4 towers altogether and many advancements are being made to treat patients with cancer.
