To pass time with myself

It is always a treat for me to pass time with myself .… means, some time alone - when I can stay all alone, when there is nobody to interfere in the temporary world of mine which I create around myself for the time being. Say, for half an hour or so… just a quality time of mine for me.

I prefer to stay alone for atleast half an hour at home in my room after returning home from office at the end of the day. I take rest by half-lying on bed and open the half-read novel in front of me: It is not that I am reading that book but thinking over a lot of the topics, preferably the incidents/conversations happened that day, I take those as lesson. What people said, did or will do… I presume sometimes. What they think of me and I freely think of them too!

I weave the dream of the future of me, my family, my love, my near & dear ones & the way I would like to accomplish it. I plan short tour/picnic/outing with close ones, I think ideas to surprise mom, dad or my love, sometimes I text or call a friend/cousin/relative who is less-communicated by me, I open my old dairy & start reading any page or write something on the current one… this is my stay-alone picture.

Music is the best way to stay alone for some time and be myself. I basically like romantic songs with light music whether new or old. Currently Ashiqui 2 songs are in my hitlist since months. I also like heavy-bass party songs to spin around the room while arranging my daily wardrobe. It lightens my mood and frees my mind from stress.

I do read the half-read novel too, when I am done. He he!:-P That does not mean that I do not love to read. I read anything which is written something over it I find near my hands – a newspaper packet or message written on plastic bags, old newspaper or lost & found old documents – bills, movie tickets, childhood book or copies…:-)

TV is not my cup of tea. I don’t like much to watch TV. Films cannot be seen on TV – for so much advertisements that is very disturbing. Serials are complete No-No. I like to watch songs on Zoom, 9XM, B4U etc. channels or UTV stars whenever I turn TV. Comedy Nights with Kapil, Koffee with Karan, Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhla Ja, Emotional Atyachar, Saavdhan India or similar shows are of my choice.

Though I find it’s a bit hard for me to manage such time for long: also to find a place alone with myself for some time. It is a ‘time’ only for you. To me, this is extremely important because, it helps us to mature in mind by nurturing it personally, to develop personal behavioral aspects, to enhance our experience over ‘the lesson of the day’ thinking over it again & again and let us think over various topics & matters too. It also let us know people around. This is the time when you can solve the most complex problems in the easiest way.

I would like to ask you all to have your time in the busy schedule of the day. At your convenience, take sound time & spend it with yourself – do whatever you want, be the person you are, spend the way you like it. It will add the boost & revive you.

Stay happy! Stay blessed! Stay connected!

Love,

Moumita
