Almost everyone of us have seen the pictures of the three monkeys, one covering the eyes, stating see no evil, one covering the ears, stating hear no evil and the third one covering the mouth, stating say no evil.
But has it helped? I mean how many have taken the message seriously and have followed what the monkeys say?
I can confidently say many have followed them seriously and have made sure that they do see no evil, hear no evil & say no evil. They just DO EVIL. Because they didn't see any sign that says 'DO NO EVIL'. So what if it is common sense? Isn't common sense most uncommon? Can't blame them really. How can we? After all they are just following what they are told through the three monkeys.
I wish we had the fourth monkey saying DO NO EVIL. Do you think the three famous monkeys will allow the fourth one to join them? I doubt. Because the followers of these three have gone so far that the fourth monkey will not be allowed to survive. May be the other three partners (monkeys) will tell him a different story: I saw nothing. I heard nothing. I said nothing.
