*- Morning Blues -*

It was a usual day, usual timings, yet something seemed out of place... The digits on the clocks sent an alarm buzzing. And I went berserk at the scene, "What am I doing up so early on a Saturday? Its 5 o'clock!" ack... I tried to sleep some more, but alas, someone had other plans for me.

The poet in me lay amused, at the splendor of the view that I rested my droopy eyes upon. In Shakespearean style it whispered...

"But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?", the window was beaming with the mildness of the first few subtle rays of sunlight!

The ludicrous morning air, in the backdrop of the purple wall behind me, theatrically swayed me away from the bed and out in the balcony in no time.. Soothing colors of dark gray and light blue scattered all over the morning sky left me spell bound.. Juvenile cries of the birds chirping away in the midst of a forlorn sky.. Caught among the husky shades of life stretched across the bounds of my sight.. I realized what I was missing.

Dreamy eyed, I kept gazing at the sky.. dreamy, wishful and inquiring, the sky remained as calm as it could possibly be....

After a while, the jogging spree of the wannabe's started... Then came the Milkmen.. followed closely by a bunch of kids loaded with books.. Some more people gathered across the scene, with numerous reasons of being busy written all over them.. Overworked, under-worked, some merely human..

As the sun rose further, I could feel that spell of freshness and serenity breaking.. and as more and more people filled the scene, that mixed feeling of anxiety and composure left me.. slowly but steadily... it died out.. As much as I wanted it to remain poised at it, ushering the serenity that it held within, all things including this exhilarating dawn, has to come to an end.

Unwilling, and possessed by the earthly worries and problems, that I had to encounter in the day ahead, I left the scene.. with an unsure promise of returning soon. And an awe-inspiring experience that could very well, make me keep it.
