Dear Dustbin ...

Yesterday I went to see the movie Bodyguard, due to heavy rush I did not take my kids. Today when I was sitting in my office I found the movie tickets in my pocket. The first thing I did was I dropped the movie tickets in the dustbin, because let this secret remain secret.

For few minutes I was sitting alone in my office, I was staring at the dustbin & some unusual thoughts were running through my mind.

Oh my dear dustbin thanks a lot for keeping all my secrets. My feelings, anger, love, emotions, thoughts penned on paper were destroyed & dumped in you (dustbin). Only you know all my secrets & no one else.

Sometimes I think what would have happened if God had given the tongue to the dustbin & it starts speaking. It’s very simple; all the secrets, and illegal business dealings, financial manipulations of entrepreneurs & politicians will erupt like volcanoes.

We all have so many secrets, it maybe dark or not, it doesn't matter. The word secret itself shows that only we know what it is. So, when somebody share their secret, it just a common sense for that person to keep the secret. Sometimes I am disappointed when people fail to keep the secrets. From several years I have been observing that whenever I trust someone to not reveal some personal or professional information, they will immediately spread the secrets like a jungle fire.

Sometimes we share some important things to our near & dear ones so that somehow it could lessen the worries or to get some useful suggestions. But anyhow these days I rarely share my secrets with my friends or relatives, not because I don't trust them, but I think in a different way, most of the times a secret shared with the other persons no longer remain a secret & the end result can be painful. So the only way truly to keep a secret is to keep it to yourself.

It’s an old saying, but it rings true, "To keep your secret is wisdom; but to expect others to keep it is folly."

Friends always be cautious to whom you reveal your secrets.

My final thought, At least Can we learn something from the dustbin....
