Best friends are someone who are very difficult to find but handful of them can do a world of good and make your life easier. Where the entire world is in the mood of valentines day I'm dedicating a blog to my best friend. After finishing this blog I would forward her the link of this blog. Maybe she too could register here and writing something similar for me:)
It's been almost a year she is away from me, but still I keep missing her everyday. Wish she was here, wish we were together, wish we could enjoy this moment, etc etc are the words that come to my mind when I come across some awkward/strange/funny/difficult scenario.
She was always there for my rescue, whether be it me roaming with my college friends and my family members thinking that I was with her. Just one text was enough and she would take care of the rest.
We both used to stay in Navy Quarters as our parents were govt. employees employed in Navy. She used to stay around 100 meters away from my house, and most of the time when I wasn't found in my house I would be in her house. She was really mad as whenever she used to miss me especially morning, she used to come my home and wake me up. If I refrained from getting up she used to do random tricks on me. Sprinkling of waters, squeezing orange skin in my eyes, etc etc were her normal tricks and apart from these she used to jump on me.
Past one year, there has a lot of changes in my life. I have shifted from the navy colony, and at the same time Sree has shifted to Chennai as she is pursuing post grad from there.
There are many funny and unforgettable moments but I vividly remember one incident where in I told mom that I'm going to Sree's house and mom was busy with her work. I actually wanted to meet one of my college friend who was a guy and my parents are a bit conservative so rather than telling them that I'm going to meet Salman, I preferred telling them that I'm going Sree place.
I met my college friend, soon after I got a message from Sree saying that my mom landed at her place in search of me. Sree told my mom that I was with her and just left few minutes ago and would be back soon, she handled the situation quite well. She couldn't call me as my mom was with her, but she did text me "ALERT". I got what she meant, and moved quickly towards her home. Somehow I managed the situation, and convinced my mom that I was really with her few minutes ago and then left to meet some other female friend and then came back.
We both would remember this moment for a lifetime and there are many more moments too! I'm lucky enough to have two best friends(Sreedevi & Anooja) on whom I can trust and rely my life on them.
My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me.
