Blog #5 - A question yet to be answered?

By: heart_twister | Posted Jan 11, 2014 | Direct from the heart | 483 Views | (Updated Jan 11, 2014 12:38 PM)

Well, Where should I begin from?

Should I directly jump to the point or build it up slowly and steadily and then create an atmosphere where in we all can debate? Whatever it is, this question has always troubled me. Maybe by discussing it out here we can settle things in a calm and descent manner and even get a proper answer to it!

Well, Without wasting any further time I would ask you something, and you come up with a suitable answer.

Which generation lived a better life? The previous generation or the current generation. Maybe this would provoke many to comment and that's when the real fun begin. This isn't any girly types blog but a very debatable kind of blog, so please join in.

Frankly speaking if you would ask me the same question I would refrain to answer or maybe I would give a diplomatic answer supporting neither sides. By now you must have judged why haven't I found an answer to this question. I prefer being diplomatic! Neither this nor that, or either this or that.

Let me highlight both the side of this topic. Let me first begin with the previous generation.

By meaning previous generation I don't mean very old generation too, maybe somewhere around 80-90 would be suitable. A generation which had less tension, stress, frustration, burden etc whatever you may call it. There wasn't much competition, neither were they much jealous about each other, neither was there much crime. The standard of living was low and they had a very sober view of life. They weren't earning much, but were happy in what they earned. They were very calm, and disease affected people were few.

Looking at the other side of this generation, there weren't good hospitals so people affected from disease would not get proper treatment. There wasn't any technology at that time, and it was all about manual labor. No technology meant very hard work had to done even to achieve basic tasks. No proper family planning done, resulting in less privileges to the children. Living in dark, travelling miles walking, striving very hard to get basic needs etc.

Now let's move on to the other generation.

A generation that gets it's work done by machines, robots. Manual labor reduced, quicker results, great output etc. Good hospitals and facilities, availing proper treatment and many lives saved are saved due to top notch technologies. High end technologies, making humans life easy, comfortable and not much manual labor needed. With the help of media, proper family planning is implemented(At least in the urban areas). This results in proper facilities provided to children. Proper standard of living with basic amenities like food clothes and shelter and water and electricity too. Travelling far was just a matter of hours.

Looking at the other side of this generation, there is always tension bottle-necking us, stress is a must, frustration are quite frequent, and hell lot of burden on our shoulders. Immense competition, each one trying to surpass the other. Being jealous is in the blood the this generation, hardly a few aren't jealous of others. Crimes everywhere, here there everywhere. Standards are high but a very hectic life. This generation is earning like anything but no happiness, the greed for me always exist. This generation is quite hasty, and disease affected people are more.

So hasn't this question confused you too?

If not then do share your thoughts on it! And this question would be asked by every single generation from now on.
