The most definitive guide in buying a smartphone

I know the title sounds so pompous. So pardon me. I am in a soup! Rather confused as always! Had the worst time arriving at a conclusion rather a decision on which phone to buy. To sum it up, it's between Nexus 4 and iPhone 4. What's makes it worse is that I've been using iOS and have been an ardent supporter of apple! Yeah I could be called a apple fanboy!

However, I can gurantee you that this post would be the most definitive post in terms of deciding what phone to buy. I feel like I'm the one who's dying so I might as well donate my livers, eyes, blood and any other organs except my lungs, (cus of the amount of fresh nicotine filled air I breathe)so that it helps someone else and save lives.

To buy a phone and even to recommend one, the best place to start off is always to know your budget. Because it clearly tells how cheap you are! No seriously, it tells whether you're amongst those who want just a good pen that writes well or a cross pen that's meant for show which means you're ready to pay more. Because everybody doesn't want a bad looking pen that leaks all the time. So some expectations are common and assumed here like 4-5 inch screen, at least dual core, 1 ghz processor etc.

Budget below rs 10k - Please buy nokia c1 for rs rs 2k. I'm sorry but in life, you don't deserved anything more than this. Just kidding- Samsung Star or Galaxy Y are amongst what you could pick. Price range is Rs 4-6k. While choosing a samsung phone, just do a "in pin safety pin" to choose one. That's the best way to get off the confusion of picking a samsung phone given their choices.

Rs 10k to rs 15 k- this honestly this is the biggest and hottest market out there. Brands that have hardware better than iPhone 5 or s3, s4 or note 2, and that come at the fraction of the cost and deliver on par performance. Most phones come with 5 inch, screens, dual sim, 300 ppi, quad core processor, 1 to 1.5 ghz processor which means they are fantastic hardware and with latest jelly bean version. Zero in on three choices-Karboon s5, xolo q1000 and a micromax doodle(was introduced laterly to this one) . All three are no brainer choices in the category. The one you pick should be the one you think looks better. My pick and even yours should be s5.

Between rs 15 k to rs 18 k- samsung grand! The greatest phone in the category. In fact even if you're budget was rs 24 k, just buy grand. Way too perfect from a price, brand and performance perspective. Just buy it.

Rs 24 to rs 30 k- nexus 4 is the amongst the best phones made. Why better than grand? So better screen and performance. And please dont buy an s3. Just sheer waste of money. You're better off picking the grand. The one you need to pick is Nexus 4. Its 4.7 inch, quad core with 16 gb, 320 ppi., wireless charging and NFC which means better peformance and screen. Beats iphone 4 hands down for the price which comes for rs 26k. Drawback - Fragile screen and no FM, service station issues etc. Else great phone/

Stretching it to rs 30 k- the only good choices are note2 which again boils down to whether you want that screen size. But there's just no need to pick a s4. Pick grand any day.

Else in life- you want the best user experience, great looks and to repeat, the greatest user experience in using a phone, looks, and performance that's optimized for the hardware, media etc., and if budgets aren't what you considered, it's iPhone all the way. Around or below a budget of rs 30k, iPhone 4 16 gb should so the trick. 4s is clearly to be avoided as if you're planning to pick that up, just pick the iPhone 5.

You will never regret it. To sum it up, it begins with karbon s5, to samsung grand to nexus 4 to iPhone 5.

Rest- please ignore. Arey is there a brand called nokia somewhere? Oh yeah! It's some river in Finland.

I'm fact I just donated my brain. Hope it does help save some lives!
