Success doesn’t give happiness, happiness gives success… If you love what you are doing you will be successful.
My passion to teach brought me into the noble profession - Teaching. My parents supported me throughout and their only wish was to see me excel at everything I did. The term ‘Job satisfaction’ can have different meaning for different people. For a few it has material requisites, but for me it is the love for the profession…
It is a know fact that, a student might hate or love a subject only because of a teacher. In my student life, I came across wonderful teachers who not only molded my personality but also made me realize the responsibility that lies beneath this great profession.
Students don’t forgive bad teachers. Sadly a few people are a part of this profession by chance and not by choice. A person should always opt for the career he/she loves. Initially you might be sacrificing certain things but one can excel only in what one is passionate about.
There are several facets of teaching I have seen in my career so far… Right from teaching, testing to correcting, invigilating…At times you might not be respected for what you are, sometimes your patience is tested… Gone are the days when a teacher was next to God, teaching teenagers (16-17 years old) have helped me look at things their way…
It is ultimately upto the teacher to bring about 'that' change and to make an impact. I always make sure that my teaching isn’t mechanical, students should learn the realities of life from the lesson, poem prescribed…
I have been learning throughout. Each and every day a new experience - both good & bad, but it does offer something to learn…This process has made me both a student and a teacher…
And I am waiting for my next lesson…
