Respect though a small word has a deep meaning. Today it isn't a woman's cause I wish to bring forth but it is Respect in general. Respect shown towards Humanity in general. I read somewhere that we should treat others the way we want others to treat us. However, this isn't practiced in most cases. It is easier said than done.

I happen to be a part of an event at my place of work. I wasn't clear with what was expected, when our team (Me and My 4 students) performed, the Incharge of the event didn't think twice before venting her feelings out in open. I wasn't hurt nor was embarrassed. The only thought I had in mind was, will I do the same in a similar situation? The answer was No. That was when I realized that people don't deserve Respect for the position they hold, rather it is the position that holds the respect.

I had a similar experience today and this was with a senior gentleman at work. Last month I was given two assignments (lets call it A and B) which were to be implemented in the classroom. This morning I got a mail from him asking me about assignment B. Assignment A was implemented successfully. I replied saying I couldn't implement B but A worked out well. May be he had knowledge about A and he didn't care to comment on that. When he replied he focused entirely on B and I was blamed for the delay.

I do understand my fault of not keeping him informed, however, a little bit of appreciation on the success of assignment A would have motivated me. The lesson I learnt is: When you have to blame someone who has completed part of the work, appreciate them first for the work done.

Lesson 1.Motivation becomes the key factor when it comes to implementation of set plans.

Lesson 2. Always keep your Boss informed, do not wait for things to fall apart.

Now let's move to the basics.

1. Never feel demotivated when things go wrong.

Remember as a kid when you scored really less? You felt it was the end of the world but it wasn't..! So world wouldn't end that easily!

2. Do your best and leave the rest in God's hand.

You might wonder what is the use of working hard..? What is the point in doing your best? You need to be happy about the fact that you are honest to your conscience. Remember, you will be appreciated one day.

3. Nothing Goes Unrecognized.

Emily Dickinson wrote many poems before her death, she didn't care to publish them but she is popular now. It was only after her death her anthology of poems was published. I don't mean it is only after your death you will be recognized! What I mean is: do not wait for recognition, if you deserve it ... you will get it..!

And the final straight thought..

4. Miracles Do Happen.

Thanks for Reading!

God Bless Everyone!
