Friends, I write to share my harrowing experience while buying insurance products from HDFC life recently. I paid the premium on 19th Nov 2017 for 2 policies vide application numbers 2200044302265 and 1200044302263.
The ordeal began the very next day that my medical check-up was scheduled at Bangalore, i.e., at a place more than 2, 000 kms away from my place of residence!
I somehow got that corrected after pursuing the sales team.
However, the more was yet to come that I did not receive any policy as yet despite the mail from the HDFC life that one policy has been despatched on 23rd Nov 2017.
I had been following up the matter with the sales team but to no avail. Instead I get the excuses that sales CSM has recently joined and does not know the procedures and the product. I wonder if HDFC life is fileding sales team without proper induction into the Company!
For another policy, I received a call last week(i.e., after one month of payment of premium) that few documents are required. I uploaded as well as mailed those documents but I continue to receive the calls, messages and mails that documents are still required.
The sales team of HDFC life does not give any answers and the guys who chased me for payment of premium have all vanished in thick air.
The most painful part is that after being meted out with such a treatment, I wrote to Mr Amitabh Chaudhary, CEO of HDFC Life but to the utter diasppointment he chose not to revert to me, let alone take any action on the grievance.
Friends, can there be any other more befitting example of mis-representation, mis-statement and delinquency in services?
