HDFC Click2Protect is a pathetic piece of Life Insurance Product! They suck you in with their marketing gimmicks and low premium. It is after you pay the first premium that the ride starts!
It is now close to 3 months after paying the premium and I have no policy in hand. After uploading the documents, they arrange for a medical test. I went for the medical test as per their requirement. They requested 2 tests, one MER and another blood report. In the medical center they informed that the reports will be directly sent to HDFC.
After the tests 1 more month and there was no response. After doing chase up with them, suddenly they send a mail asking me to do the same test(MER) again. I told them I had done the tests. Their response is, we don't have the reports in our file, do the test again. Along with MER they gave one more test to be done. Again I had to go to the medical center.
Medical center confirmed that MER was sent to HDFC and told me, no need to do MER again. After 3 weeks again HDFC tells me, give the signed report of the blood test done. I told them that the medical center informed me that the tests will be handed over directly to HDFC. I didn't have the reports with me.
It becomes clear after approx 3 months, that HDFC is just taking me for a ride. It is pure scam to get money upfront. I have realized that it is better to lose money rather than continue with HDFC. Imagine getting a policy after paying up the premium upfront is so painful! If there would be claims afterwards, the attitude will be worse. I should have read the reviews here before paying them.
I had also taken similar policy for my wife(which I am cancelling as well, along with my policy). They did the other scam, they never sent the physical document. They kept saying that the physical copy is sent. It is stated that they won't give insurance without a physical copy! So, it looks another scam of HDFC Click2Protect.
There were similar reviews that many customers didn't get a physical copy. They make another Rs. 300 for requesting a physical copy. My sincere request to all looking for life insurance.
Avoid HDFC, Click2Protect. It's a poorly managed business. If getting a policy by paying your hard earned money is so cumbersome, imagine your loved ones running after such a company to get claims fulfilled!
