What is Pain?

She ran away from the ward, as it was unbearable for her to stand there. She vomited, while crying continuously from last 50 minutes. Her clothes were blood-stained. After few minutes, she again started breathing normally but today's day was still pending. The clock struck 12. She heard Neha's voice from behind. "Gauri, Doctors are taking her to the operation theatre. I just hope everything will be fine. I called her parents too. They will be reaching here soon." They both just sat silently at the boundary wall of the City Hospital. Gauri was still in a state of shock. The whole incident is replaying in her mind again and again.

Gauri was looking ahead for Neha, who had already crossed the road, but still she was not able to do so, the traffic was not slowing down. Just then she got a chance and she ran, and crossed successfully, but they still have the other road to go. They were standing at the divider. Just then they heard a scream and they saw a girl lying down in middle of the road. She was hit by a scooter first due to which she lost balance and then suddenly an auto hit her and went over her, her hands and legs came under the tyres. Gauri screamed. Suddenly the traffic stops, and Neha and Gauri ran towards that unconscious girl. She was unconscious, they lift her and stopped another auto and take her to the nearest hospital. Her face was totally crushed from one side, blood dripping from what seems to be every part of her body.

"Ravi, you know, one side of her face is totally damaged. Her head is plastered. Her chest ribs are broken, and she has multiple fractures in her both hands and legs, but today when I went to see her, she didn't shed a tear, and greeted me with a smile. You know what she said to me - 'Life is a part of game. We all should just play it until death do his part. There is no place for sorrow. I will be fine and I am very happy. I found a friend.'", Gauri started crying while depicting her visit of hospital to me. She said one more thing to me, "How come she took it so lightly? Like nothing has happened to her." I don't have the answer to that question, since I was still thinking about my bad day in office.

P.S. Based on a true incident.
