Pehli Pehli Chat

Internet, surfing and chatting are now-a-days food for life for any urban young men or women. Forget about youngsters, even if my father sits in fromt of the PC over the internet to surf (certainly not chatting) I take it for granted that today evening is not my internet day. Such is the power and influence of networking over internet these days.

To be honest my communication happens the most over internet; through net I have found the bestest of relationships, love, wishes, gossips, laughter, smileys, saddies etc etc. apart from information related to professional or any small/big parts of life. So, anyone complaining about internet as heinous technology and something injurious to health, body and mind, I feel like going and punching them off their face or scream aloud saying; "Only if you had to rub ur A** for 10hrs of the day in a dull office room, you would never come up with this stupid thought."

Finally chatting is something everyone does if they have the internet facility. Chat rooms, a new friend, a new relationship and new interactions is something always brings spice to life and living. isn't it? however, unfortunately, our office management feels when you are in the office premises you should sit and stare at ur PC like a dumb dodo. but as my devil mind keeps looking for rebelling (cant have control over natural instincts that am born with :P) I kept trying newer ways and networking sites to quench my thirst of reaching out to the unknown people and listening to them with all my ears open and deliberately shutting down all my senses at office (at times).

i was new to Facebook at that point of time. I was then an avid follower of orkut. Facebook which seemed almost similar to orkut didnt appeal me either. however, to my dismay orkut was blocked at office. So tried my luck at FB and opened a new account to keep up with my friends. though my FB remianed open all the time I was in office I could add very less number of known faces to my FB list. Even unknown people didnt find my profile picture impressive to add me (as I put up an unclear, hazy snap with relationship status as 'committed'..hehehe). One fine day I received a FB request for being friends with a one-liner tagged with the mail: "Care to be my friend? Read my profile and get back." at my gmail account on my last birthday. I ignored it as righteously I could for being a woman to get an invitation from an unknown man. :D

however, the one-liner hit at some corner of the mind and I reverted back adding him after few days.

The chat session sprang up immediately and spontaneously as I clicked on the 'agree' button. somewhere the profile impressed me as I assumed a Kolkatan living in US thereby, would be communicating only over chats; and the profile pix reminded me of my favorite cousin living in Philadelphia. Infact, the formal this chat-friend was wearing resembled from my cousin's collection too and it was me who gifted him something like that!

well out of courtesy, every1 starts with 'Hi'' or a 'Thanking note'

A: 'Thanx for accepting my request.'

Me: Well, hmmm....what should I say? welcome? cant b so formal with buddies! anywaz, my pleasure! :)

A: Glad 2 kno dat u r dropping the whole idea of being formal. Like ur style-

Me: hmm cool.

A: So tell me - wat made u accept my request ?

Me: Now u r sounding like an HR. well, u belong to the same city living abroad, so there can b similarities n dissimilarities that can b shared.

A: Well I was living in US, now am back in cal -even betr r8?

Me: Home is alwaz betr. however, what made u send me a request?

A: I think u'r cute. See am a free n frank person, so no reasons to lie

Me: (aside) found me cute in that hazy picture? hehehe o my god! someone hit me hard to believe! lol

however, thats how this chatting took off and gradually discovering and exploring more about each other. the best part to chat with an internet friend is u dont become conscious abt his/her presence , so u can just let ur heart out and go with the flow and if someone turns to be fun/youthful and interesting, chatting with him/her is delightful! :)it turned out to be an extremely healthy session for both of us; as we not only got to know each other well but it was a refreshening experince. the floodgates were open after long long time. And as the gates opened for once, it remained open forever.... (till date) !!! :)

P.S. Thanx a lot Siddhart(sidz_b) for giving me the lightening topic Head, ki dimaag ki batti jal gayi! :D lol
