Today evening I come in station to catch my train for home and could hear the train starting ,so I started running .I see it moving so I run with it come near the train its almost empty ,I cannot believe my luck .I grab the pole and do one of my most perfect swing and I am in. Some people are shouting something ,yep they are faint hearted and must have been shouting to avoid the risk.
The first thing I see is a girl standing on other side of door ,okay maybe in a hurry she came into general compartment.I see more ladies in fact all of them are ladies.Have I climbed into ladies compartment .Its a mistake I ,a six year veteran, cannot make ,so I look out of compartment for ladies sign it was not there ,so I take a sigh of relief .I look around and find a guy in other side of compartment now I feel more confident but only thing bothering me is how is this train empty at peak hour.Something is wrong .Suddenly I see a big woman shouting towards me and other guy "Ladies Special" ! Ohk!.The other guy starts an explanation about mistake in boarding,bad move.The big lady keeps on shouting and suddenly catcalls start .One of them calls me chikna and I smile back .Other girl aiding her says tere ghar mein baap bhai nahin hain and there is a roar of laughter but I know I have to keep the smile going.They have found out that I am a tough nut to crack so they concentrate on the guy who looked younger and was probably new.He was in tears and the big lady is now pointing finger and threatening police.The guy got so frustrated that he moved towards the door and was in a mood to jump .Seeing this I stop him and ask him to wait till next station.On this the big lady moves toward me and I raise my eyebrow and make my intentions clear. She retracts and suddenly starts talking on a mobile phone.Great so cops would be waiting on next station only cool thing is that it is only two minutes to next station.I would jump off the train as soon as it enters and mingle with the crowd. Meanwhile the teasing has increased for the other guy.He tells me he has just started his job and came to mumbai just two days ago.I inform him that a five hundred to 1000 bucks fine awaits us at next station.He seemed to be having problems about that ,I can understand new job and you havent got your first salary and you are about to pay a fine,not good.So I tell him to get down from other side and get in crowd as fast as possible while I will distract attention.So he moves to other side ,lets see his luck.The station is approaching ,big lady again comes and threatens me ,i wait for the right moment.As soon as train is about to stop ,I respond something to the big lady ,something bad and all eyes are suddenly on me .The other guy was smart and gets down at his cue.When the train stopped ,I see no cops but there are two TTEs ,one of them approaches me and tries to rough me .I raise my eyebrow and my fist to make it known that it will be adequately responded.He understands and draws back .I get down from train and in mean while big lady is still shouting.Train leaves.
Now the two TTE approach me visibly angry.But in mumbai being angry is bad business.So they get back to business and ask me how come I got on ladies special.Now I am thinking if I say 'by mistake' he will still charge me the fine .So I have to throw a desperate story,that may save my money.Sick friend has become old and they have understood it.So I say I got in this train to give a love letter to a girl whom I love.And I had to do this as she is not ready to talk to me or see me and also added that it is futile to live any longer without her and so I had to take this desperate measure.One of them in meanwhile asks me for my ticket ,I wont give my 1500 bucks pass to him that ways I will have to be dependent on him to get it back currently he is dependent on me so I tell him no ticket.But the other guy asks me ,did she read the letter .Okay he has taken the bait.I say no, not in front of me but I have left it on her hands and ask him to pray that she reads the letter.Well he then gives me the bus, train ,girl talk and I nod with helplessness. The other one in mean while say you will be fined Rs1200 so I deploy the second trick say no money ,my wallet in office .Also tell him if he gives me his number I will give it to him tomorrow.Suddenly two more TTEs come and they come and shake my hand and say aur Saurabh bhai kaise ho.I have been travelling this route for four years so I know these guys .Finally paying fine is out of question but I cannot just deny the story one of the earlier guys may get offended.One of the earlier guys in meanwhile narrated the story. One of them then asked me how did she look.Okay let me guess it should be rather common easy to remember so white dress ,long hair ,fair.
