What happened to the plants Debs? My friend was surprised! And where are those pretty flowers gone!
Few days back I looked at the miniature garden on our balcony. I realized I need to make it more structured. The pots to be re-arranged, some of the plants to be trimmed, few do even need re-potting. The number of pots and the activities, a quick reckoning told me it is going to be one and half day. We were heading the weekend, what do I need to wait for then? Let me complete it before I go for my vacation, I told myself.
And the combat started on Saturday morning. Pots, mud, manure, sand – all in place and I get onto the battle field. I was engrossed in my work with not much of detour. And by Sunday noon I was happy to see that I am done.
Debszz and a shudder … Hmmmm I turned towards her. ‘Crazy you are’ – I read her eyes.
Sweetie, a trimming might make the plant look dreadful but eventually would bring the lovely blossoms and greenest leaves – I told her. Similarly, re-potting is crucial for the growth of plant. I love my plants and must do the needful to get the right environment – I replied with a smile.
Isn’t this rather similar to what happens in our life too? While trying to rearrange things, an intermediate look doesn’t appear so pleasant. And we end up naming it as unsystematic, vulnerable situation. We even question the purpose of entire act.
All we to value & acknowledge the goodness. Blossom and lushness would be back soon…
