Sound quality wise both are same, IPod looks much better which nobody can deny. Iriver is for hardcore music buffs (sometimes, u need to be different from others, out of the crowd!!). Iriver has recently arrived in India, it will take time to get famous here. Its more than one year since i wro...te this review, currently I suggest go for Ipod (Nano), dont even think abt anything else if you want audio alone. However, if you want video also go for Archos. Check www.cnet.com for all the latest mp3 players and gadgets, it will give you a far idea. the enigmaRead More

I have one bad news for you, Anniyan is a critical and commercial success. Aren't u reading magazines or browsing movie sites, aren't u seeing the crowds in the theatres? Anniyan has collected 10 crores in 1 week. Check out article by sify. the enigma

Excellent review!I agree with you 100 %. The movie was enjoyable but still was not half as good as Indian. Mainly because the Anniyan and Remo characterization were not good enough. Remo was totally out of place in the movie, for Anniyan the voice modulation was not good and did not have powerful... dialogues like in Indian. However, as usual Shankar has come up with an entertaining film. Shankar's thought process is excellent. He has pointed a finger at each and everybody in this country for being responsible for Indian's poor state which is really very true and something that everybody must think about. the enigmaRead More

Ramp_Senti, Yeah, that is probably the one thing that srininet1 missed. He should not have totally discarded the movie. That is why I mentioned my review would be 70% like his, however I would have detailed the better aspects(atleast a couple of them) of the movie also. the enigma

For all the people who posted abusive/ agressive comments, grow up guys! There is no need to get keyed up. Saisrini, Calling someone retarded just because his views are not the same as others should prove something abt ur character rather than him. Be sane and have a open mind, accept criticism, ...dont get personal. The movie is a perfect example of how one should not make a movie, they messed up the screenplay, the characterizations are horrible and to add that all the stupid fights and of course the non acting skills of Rajnikanth. the enigmaRead More

Your review is spot on. If I were to write a review on this movie, it would have been 70% like yours. However, I would also have tried to understand and write as to why the movie is a hit. I seriously believe the movie is a shame on Tamil Cinema, it takes Tamil Cinema 10 steps behind. I thin...k the last 30-45 minutes(which was suprisingly good) salvaged the movie, the movie was horrible till that point and I think that somehow made the movie click. Word to all the fellow MS members who are panning srininet1 for this review, dont do so, his is just the review of a person who wants to see tamil cinema get better. You can disagree with his rating of the movie, however you cant disagree with what he has said. the enigmaRead More

Wonderful article! Many a people have learnt lessons the hard way, like you have. Its an addiction, once a person sees some money getting generated there is no stopping until he goes bust or ? well, I think there is no stopping once addicted. I always play it safe, I always have 65% of my port...folio in mutual funds. They can provide returns of more than 30% annualy, I think that is very acceptable!! the enigmaRead More

Good review!! I haven't seen the movie but from the promos I could see the war sequences were tacky. The problem with these Indian filmmakers is that they don't find the best talent for a particular job, they just try to do everything by themselves. War movies and biographies in Hollywood are aut...hentic and realistic not because they are the best but because they rope in the best talents from around the world. The movie is not running in any descent theatre in Chennai, so, I guess I won't be seeing it. the enigma Read More

These days going to a movie hall is not so encouraging for me because of a lot of factors, a few of them I have managed to list here. #1 Finding time is the biggest factor for me,3 to 4 hours of the day is gone if I were to go to a theatre. The most annoying of the time spent in the movies is ...Read more

It is another wonderful review from you!! A review on Shivaji Ganesan / great dialgoues after writing on Cosmetics and American kids, is really amazing!! You can translate the dialogues to english and put it right beneath the tamil ones so that even the non tamil speaking people might understand... and enjoy. Keep up the nice writing! way to go!! the enigmaRead More

Good review. I felt the movie was crap, except for the last 20 minutes, which everybody agree is good. The screenplay is a mess, Rajni(the superstar)kanth has forgotton how to act, all characters are badly done and Jyotika has been reduced to just being in the background most of the movie and ...she is supposed to be the title character. I like the Rajni of the 1980's, these days I just hate him. the enigmaRead More

I would definitely not watch this movie, because Ajay Devgan is acting (or trying to act) in a role that was done by Sean Penn in the original(Iam Sam). Last time he did this was in Dewaanagee where he tried to do a la Edward Norton(Primal Fear) and failed miserably. Ajay Devgan is miles behin...d Sean Penn and thousands of miles behind Edward Norton. I feel Ajay Devgan is an over rated actor, he is at best an average actor. For people not exposed to Hollywood cinema it might not matter. the enigmaRead More

Yeah, ur right abt Vijay, thank God we just have one actor like him or else Tamil Cinema wont progress at all. We need heros who are willing to experiment, take up new, challenging and different roles. Not repeat movie after movie after movie as Vijay does. the enigma

Murali, I have a few things to say, one U couldn't possibly compare Bose and Dass. These are not Albums, they are movie scores, so you have to see what kind of movie, who is the hero, what genre it is etc before expecting quality stuff. Obviously, the movie will be targeted at the B and C ...centres. And they don't need quality, classy songs everytime. Maybe in the context of the movie they will sound good. I'm not defending this movies score, but what I'm saying is most of Tamil films, have few songs that cater to B and C audiences. Nothing wrong with that, except that we are not its target audience. Keep writing. the enigmaRead More
