10th of March is my daughter’s birthday, (he he he last time gaddi ka b’day), this time we decided to celebrate it in a different way, just the four of us, away from the maddening city crowd and noisy relatives. It’s not that I don’t like throwing parties with lots of food and music(read NOISE) & I just love my folks but as she was turning SIX & already talking like a granny :D I thought it would be a great idea to spend some alone time with her on her special day.
Now on a recommendation of a very dear person (hope that dear person will come &give this review highest rating), we decided to go to TARANGI SPA RESORT (tiger camp), near Dhikuli village, Ramnagar, Corbett.250 Kms. away from Delhi.
We started from Delhi at 3:30 a.m.! & reached there around 10;30a.m.(includes 2 mini breaks), It was a lovely journey through the little villages, panoramic view & hills, so much so that while driving, I missed the Tarangi Board and landed in a remote village, with no trace of Tarangi/corbett, no worries when I go somewhere little bit of commotion/confusion is obvious, , isn’t it?:D
Pradeep the manager, a cheerful guy, welcomed us and then we’ve been taken to our den err cottage(tiger camp!!)
ACCOMODATION- There are three types of accommodation available in Tarangi (according to the view they provide)-*
garden cottage- 11200/-, **river cottage-13200/-, suite-15200/-(they can upgrade tht according to the availability)( package of 2N/3D, for a family of two which includes rooms +meals ; 8% extra for taxes)
Ours was a lovely spacious cottage, with a beautiful garden.we immediately fell in love with that nice, neat airy cottage.
FOOD- we reached there a bit late , but the kitchen staff was kind enough to serve us a sumptuous breakfast. it was treat to have a buffet full of hot steaming aloo puris, poha, cutlets, fresh fruits, juices tea and coffee, , BLURP!!, , , lolzz.
Amazing food!! those guyz are serving everything, dal, sabzi, chicken, mutton, raitas, biryanis, paneer dishes, my fav.PARANTHAS, salads, desserts.kaanji, nimbupaani phew!!, , i may be missing a lot on this, , it’s BUFFET for a king, laid there, all three times of the day.Surprisingly, they even served "CHOCOS", to my fussy eater boy. I’m thankful for the kitchen staff for giving us such delicious-yet-light-on-the-stomach-food.
HOSPITALITY- The hospitality of the tarangi is surprisingly, very warm, we felt like we’ve been here from ages, within few seconds of reaching , they all were calling my kids by their names, & kidos were obviously ecstatic with the attention they were getting from all of them.They had a nice time playing in the luscious gardens of the resort.
CORBETT-It’s a tiger reserve, only ten minutes away from this resort, , that is the main tourist attraction, , but u can go and unwind yourself staying in the resort only, even if you want to omit this visit/safari to CORBETT national park.here's a link for my review on the park https://mouthshut.com/review/Jim_Corbett_National_Park-191197-1.html
STAY IN TARANGI- We reached back from the safari by evening and bought a cake from the market which is 15 minutes away. As I was arranging tht cake, a staff member rang the door bell, i sent Riddhima to answer that and she came back all blushing & BEAMINGLY happy with a big bouquet of flowers with a tag of HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS RIDDHIMA !!, , sent by the Manager Pradeep.It was sweet gesture, the look on my gurls face & the twinkle in her eyes!! my idea of going there to celebrate her special day was super duper HIT, :D
SPA, YOGA HALL & POOL- The spacious yoga hall with a scenic view of hills and kosi river will not let you miss daily yoga sessions, the half an hour that I spent there doing pranayaam was DIVINE!!. then there is big pool & kiddie pool to splash in and enjoy a dip.The spa & the services (thai messages) are wonderful, if u go , get one done, to know many more unknown & soar muscles in your body, , lol.Their is also a conference hall near swimming pool, so all you corporates!!, go there, do some chick watching and if you get time from that you can discuss few meeting agendas also, , , lollz.
FARMVILLE- it was hilarious to compare our virtual farm things like cows, elephants, green house, hedges, trees, gazebo, cottage and all with the real ones present there! have a look at my albums for that.
BEST PART- no TV. no news papers in the rooms!!!, , completely cut off from the civilzation.SERENE and PEACEFUL, , .Though the office is well equipped in case of any requirements of that sorts.

I would like to specially thank the staff of Tarangi for the best of hospitality, they showed us, my only complaint is, PRADEEP next time you better get my CAR washed, , i am a bit touchy over this matter, , , lolzzzz.

ideal for bussiness(remember tht poolside conference room!!), friends, kids &families(safari & good food), large groups(spacious, buffets, camp fire), romantic evenings(river side, peaceful)
&even trendy crowds(oye I went there, isn’t tht enough a reason, , LOL).
You can visit this place throughout the year, I would love to go there next in RAINS, , (but not a good idea for people who like to visit corbett, , as the best time to visit the park is between Nov.-June.)
