~ You have PERMANENT TRAP here ~. Review on Jeetle

I have not been writing reviews here on MS for few months, being pre occupied with my commitments. For last few months, I have been been extremely troubled with Promotional E Mails and Messages on my mobile from a site https://jeetle.in.

When I was in Chandigarh, in 2010, I had joined a Reverse Auction site jeetle.in to have some fun. I never knew that it would be a permanent trap!!

The Site

This site has been made very attractive. Any ignorant and unsuspecting new comer will get into it as they have tied up so well that paying them is very easy - through Credit Card/Debit card or the Net banking. I opted for Net banking and the First transfer of Rs 100 was almost instant through the SBI Internet Banking.

I started bidding and lost every time, till I lost Rs 200 in total.

I felt someting fishy and stopped further bidding. Total loss was just Rs 200.

The site has very good pictorial depiction of how to play with an aim to BID LOWEST and BID UNIQUE which I never attained!!

The site has Online chat option which was not consclusive in my case(Screenshot attached)

My Account section has options to change mail ID( I changed to a fake existing mail ID, just to divert promotional mails, but kept getting such mails on my previous mail ID)

The site also has Winners list with some photographs of the individuals and other details, but no contact no.mail ID to contact them as a privacy policy!

SOMETHING FISHY

Before writing this review, I went through other reviews on this site.

Out of 19 reviews so far, only six was recommended with FIVE stars ratings and mostly rated by readers with `Somewhat Useful` of `Not Useful` ratings.

Other ratings are mostly with single star and NO Recommendation. But, if you visit the comment section, you will find officials of this site with IDs like [ @arunseth / @sonupiyush / @jeetle_support] who will alone or one by one almost bullshit the reviewers.

MY REAL AGONY

I have serious doubt about transparency of this site, but I do not blame them squarely. But I read many many players`s experiences which puts serious question marks on this site.

My real agony started, when I left this site. As there was no formal method to remove your ID, I kept quite and forgot this chapter.

But for April 11 onwards, I had been getting a flood of promotional mails and messages. I just threw my Tata No 9217887660 after no method worked!! Shame on you jeetle admin.

As my mail was configured as Push mail on my Nokia E63, the promotional mail was no longer bearable. Normally there is a UNSUBSCRIBE Link at the bottom of each mail. You click that and you are done. In the worst case, you need to put ID and Password again.

But this shameless site on the name of Privacy, suggests to send a Separate mail to all_jeetle@jeetlemail.com. I did even that, but as written, I never received a secret code on my registered mail ID.

I was furious. I called their contact no at 9716148630 in the last week of Sep 11. The lady told that Madam was not there because of Lunch time and I would receive a call back. I never did. Called next day and was assured of the action. Not happened. Called again and got one more Lip service.

The Limit had reached on 05 Oct 11(Review day!) at 1355 hrs when I called Ms Sonia at 01145703438. She denied all my saying and told me to mind my agression as, as per her I was requesting FIRST time!!!

I do not know as how to come out of this jeetle trap.
