10 Ka Dum was an addition to the bandwagons of Reality Game shows being hosted by fillum Ishtars. But hold on it is different (for me),special(for me) and I was waiting for this one with baited breath. Those who still don't know why should visit

Coming to the topic this serial for me meant 4 hrs of unadulterated Salman Khan(am including the repeat telecast also).
But with the serial on air for about 3 weeks how do I feel about it?

The game is all about guessing and if I'll be upfront then it isall about luck & can easily be termed as a gamble or lottery.
The show begins with aKnock out **round where 2 contestants face each other. The winner of the knock out round goes on to play the game of Dus Ka dum.
The contestant competes to win up to Rupees Ten Crore by trying to answer the poll question in percentages. If his/ her guessed percentage falls within a narrowing percentage range the contestant wins the prize money and moves on to the next level.

The range in which the answer should fall starts at 40 and reduces down to 30, 20, and 10 for the final question the contestant needs to guess the exact percentage of question asked at level 4.

The contestant has an option to leave the game when he wishes(before chaaping the answer), he/ she is allowed a friend to guide him and they can also take the help of the audience poll. There is no limit in using these helps.
The poll questions, as the channel claims, have been asked to a random group of Indians and their survey group is usually of 1000 people. I know, hardly a number to fall up on but then when you see the absurd questions you won’t look for justifications
The questions would either make you laugh or make you cringe with embarrassment.
Sample this, “how many guys would want to give birth to a baby or how many Indians say that they are proud to be an Indian”.

§ If you are looking out for logic then this show has none. As have said earlier it is sheer gamble.
§ Absurd and sometimes even cheap questions.
§ The set of the show is not very enterprising
.:. How is it different from other reality/quiz shows.:.
§ It doesn’t challenge your intelligence neither does it try to demean you.
§ It is 1 hour of total time pass & entertainment.
§ The fact that there are just 5 questions makes the game look easy but when you are dealing with guesses nothing is easy and that has been proven in the show and adds a zing.
§ Their selection of contestants is quite unique. Here you will see people coming from all classes, be it paan wala, or a student, or a budding actor, or a housewife etc etc. I haven’t seen such diversified group of people in any of the quiz shows.
§ Salman Khan, he is the only reason that this no brainier of a game show is thriving.
When the show was about to begin I was a bit apprehensive and was thinking that he might blow this up and be his nonchalant self. But one should see the show to see his charisma and the way he gels with people.
You have ladies eating out his hands and then guys asking for a tip to woo beautiful girls and our man taking all in stride.
His one liner, delivered with a poker face can have you in splits.
Sample this, a lady from Lucknow tells him she is his fan and prays for him daily and our man says oh! Yes that’s why am out these days. Or being offered a paan, the way our man takes out the chewing gum and sticks it behind a computer:D
Even if I wasn’t a die hard Salman Khan I would have recommended this game show for Salman Khan only because, he is the life of the show.
He looks a total knock out in those suits, sighs!
He has a knack of making fun of self & that alone is such an endearing quality that you will fall for him for sure.
He laughs, he dances, he guides the contestants, and he doles out humor all in all a total entertainment package
§ If you don’t like Salman Khan you should watch it so that you start liking him.(Lalit are you reading this?)
All in all this game show is a celebration with people coming in from all walks of life and enjoying to the hilt.
*It has drama, it has dance and it has Salman Khan so why are you watching it? If nothing you can drool at him.
Sometimes my husband asks what did the contestant say? I turn towards him with bewildered eyes and ask did he say anything? Am sorry I was busy watching Salman Khan:D
