I was coming back from my duty place in the morning(I was on 24 hour duty last day..lol) in my car in a comfortable speed. The cold in the morning was enormous as was also seen with the `body language` of all the exposed ones.
I saw a young lad ( may be class X student) coming in his father`s scooter in a great speed from the opposite side. I observed that though he had decent protective clothing, but he was carrying the helmet not wearing it and full head was exposed in cold.
I started going to my `flashback`. I was also not an exception in `exposing` and `punishing` myself when I was un married.
Though I used my helmet without fail with my papa`s Bajaj Super asI did not have Driving Licence... lol. But I never did `relaxed` driving in a two wheeler whose front brakes were inhibited by my father as using front brake was considered not safe for a small size tyres. But, I never met with any accident though due to tution mainly or to carry my mother or sisters I had driven more than my father. I was so happy when my mother used to say, ``I feel more safe when you drive.`` Thanks mom.
I joined the IAF, a challenging career. I even joined the additional martial arts and rock climbingclasses. I attended eight mega high altitude mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas and even did five para jumpsfrom the aircraft.
Knowing the risk factors, my parents always discouraged meto volunteer for these adventure activities. But I remained unfazed.
But after my marriage I just dis continued all the activities which had risks involved.
I ask a question to myself that was it an effect of age that I stopped these activities or I love my wife and daughter more than my parents.
