I was nominated by my dear friends to list out the 10 book titles that I feel left an impact on me greatly.
Well, I was never into reading much and had I been it would have been a different story altogether this far in my life. Yeh sab na padhne ki wajah se hi main wo HU jo HU aaj
Any way my list of 10 books is as under:
Know your Alphabet - pehle chhoti a b c d seekhi phir badddi A B C D seekhi and today I know the difference.
My Bedtime Story Book - every childs favorit book with simple stories and parents proxy to help you sleep, I wasnt always able to finish the story and would go into la la land, today it haunts me ke aakhir last mei huwa kya and have lost sleep trying to remember the story ka end, the book though has been lost to some kabaddi wala account.
How to count 1 to 10 - has taken me ever since to understand this and am still confused si many times about the sequence and nomenclature like after 20 is Twenty one and after Thirty us 31 so on but after Ten why is it not Tenty One and only called ELEVEN how very kaanfoosing!
History books - All it worries now is How to keep a Date with my Dates(to love) during the coming week and all that book kept reminding me was keeping a date with dates of people who fought whom, and such a bad influence that was on me, aaj tak I sulk at Plassey and Waterloo and Panipat and Kalinga where as I should remember the Baristaz and CCDs and other such jaunts.
Physics books - kept telling me about angles of refraction when a ray of
Light enters a glass if water how it slants one way or the other and with that knowledge impacting me I keep shifting my glass of milk in the MWO time and again so that it warms properly and not just on some parts - am a genious see!
Chemistry books - told me to know about bonding of atoms to form compounds and I learnt bonding of hearts to form companions.
Geography books - taught me what was where and now I know well how to read maps and while driving comes in handy to avoid all traffic lights and places where cops are hiding to avoid CHALAANs.
Shakespeare - dunno why was that imp for us to read when that man didnt know Ingliss himself. Et Tu? Now that is french mixed with hindi since france invaded india but he says that was Ingliss. Where art thou? Now temme hows that any form of ingliss either?
Annual scrap book - a favorit of mine where I used to get all my besties write only good things about me and that I would read over and over again for atleast for a week to make me feel on top of the world about how good I was that whole year that went by.jhhootha hi sahi.
Bank Pass book - this one was the most emotional book, I always hold it close to heart, all my losses and break ups( dad gave me so many FDs and I broke them all up) are all listed there and really makes my heart bleed at turn of every page. Its a similar story with different figures almost all are negative figures and I strive hard to keep my head up after reading this every month when all that us there is drained out generally thru a plastic card which gets swiped elsewhere but it impacts all in this book. Tsk tsk tsk tsk and I cry .
There also were TinTins, Amar Chitra Kathas, Lotpot, Chacha Chaudhuris and Enid Blytons, Hardy boys, Phamuss Phives, Archie, Champaks, Tinkles et al and the rest but those were the good times of my life!
