On last weekend, I went to watch Gunde Jaari Galanthayinde, a telugu romantic movie, although I am selective towards my choice, I went to watch it. The movie was a pleasant experience for me, but after watching the movie, I felt that can love be blind in today's practical world, where the face is the practical representation of your behavior, and no one cares far far for your heart.
For those who have not watched the movie, or those who are non-Telugu, the story was about a girl Shravani, who want to fall in love with such a perfect person, who do not care about how she look, about her rich background, and the boy Karthik, who is being practical in his life, want to marry a girl of his choice, eventually falls for Shravani or Bangaram, which he calls daily, and share everything. They both bump into each other many times, rather Shravani, who actually know who is Karthik, joined the same office as his boss, but Karthik never knew that she is his Bangaram. Actually, the emotional bond is there, which is just the phone line. That bond makes the way for their love, not how they look.
Can that be possible that only talking on the phone, can lead to love at this materialistic world? But you never know, it ca happen, but to a least percentage. Let's take a man perceptive, even the hero of the movie, fall for Shruthi, by her looks, in first meeting, although that lead to confusion, and his relation with Shravani, but that is what today's world is. Only if the boy likes her from her looks, than only he cares about how is the girl from heart. Even there is a misconception with boys generally, that girls with dark colours has black heart, and they don't want to get entangled with a dark-complexion girls, and above all, they want their grilfriends or wives, to make his companions jealous, not to make a mockery of himself, what a dark-complexion girl would bring to him.
Let's take now the girl's perspective in today's world, they don't want to get in a relationship with a guy, who is black in color as well as thin and lean, they want a guy who is physically strong, to protect her from the odds, and handsome to be a showcase for their fellowmates. Then how can they fall for a guy in the phone, whom they haven't seen, don't know how would that guy look?
Love is a feeling, but that need to be gone through the way of our eyes. So, the movie provide a hypothetical possiblity, but it is nice to see on screen. Such movies are always a treat to watch.
But can that happen in reality remains a question, only if I see a real example can I believe, till that it is just a movie for me to see and watch and enjoy, and write about it.
