It was a very sweat saying when it comes to teaching as well as preaching. But is it the same in today's practical world? I don't think so. What do you say?
Actually, I am a disciple of Anukul thakur, Satsang, and resides in Deoghar, Jharkhand. I obey what the guru has taught to some extent, and falters on the others. But last week, when our teacher came and said he has become a ritwik, and he wants some of us to join the list of disciples to earn some sprituality, to overcome the debacles in our careers.
But in front of the teacher, everyone was obedient, and gave a positive nod. But as he left, they start saying they don't believe any Gurus, and they can't give the istvriti, which every thakur's disciple has to give as a token of gratitude for the thakuratva. They saqid they follow the "oh. my God" movie's philosophy, that they don't want to worship any human as God, clearly against what our ancestors say.
Today is the day, when Gurus like Asharam Bapu has demolished the Guru's reputations and the belief that the people have in the Guru's, and current generation follows the same trend, and hates Gurus of today. They don’t believe them. For them, spirituality is just a waste of time and money. And somehow, they are right too. But then the problem comes, when you start facing a wave of obstacles, and you got completely in a fix, then comes the work of spirituality to calm you down and pave the way towards success.
Now let’s take other Gurus, the actual gurus, who give us the knowledge. The condition is far worse here, where students treats teacher so badly, that they don’t fear them, and sometimes hits them back. Few days back, students of Satsang College, beat up their proffessors and even the dean badly, that the police had to interfere. But it’s not the fault of student completely too, they are misguided and aggressive, and their unions take advantage of that, but it is teacher’s fault too, that they risk the life of students, by not teaching in the class, and prefer coaching centres, although they get heavy salaries from the colleges, but they are humans only, and humans yearn for more and more, and no satisfaction can stop that. So, I feel the heavenly relationship like guru-shishya has been completely off-guarded in today’s situation, if there is no drona to teach, then there is no eklavya too.
