Why don’t you try to understand! I shouted! Why can’t you see the door at the end of the road!
I close my eyes again. It is a straight road – you and me walking hand in hand. Up there, I can see the door. I felt a soft pull. Ahh! You stopped and pulling me from moving ahead. Please don’t stop… I continue walking ahead. I have reached almost there, nearing the door. Sweetheart! You sounded so feeble, I turned to look for you. I didn’t even realize you left my hand and stood there … far! Obsessed me kept walking towards the door.
‘You there’ – I open my eyes, I felt the drop on my cheek. For a moment I feel the numbness. I know, this goes nowhere. It looks like you have almost made your mind. And I am not there in your decision! How could you do this to me! I close my eyes and felt another drop flowing down slowly.
I try to open the door. It is opening slowly… Oops! It’s is so bright. I cover my eyes. Slowly I open my eyes & try to peep - I see lot-a people the other side. All are happy and busy moving around. Looks like a gathering! All are well dressed - colorful dresses, flowers ... Please try to open the door and have a look dear – I mumble. I am afraid, not sure of reaching there – I heard you replying. Oh come-on, muster your courage – get your determination stronger and am sure we shall reach the door together. After all, it is our journey - the journey of togetherness! I realize the other side sounds blank – may be the call got dropped or … I get scared!
I close my eyes and try to see the road and I know this goes nowhere!
