I tried yummybay.com for Bangalore for 1st time today and it was such a horrible experience that I do not plan to use it ever again or recommend to anyone. I ordered food at 8pm. At 8:05pm, I got a call that order was placed and they will confirm in 5 minutes. No one called till 9 pm! I did not get order confirmation via email also
I logged in again and saw order was placed and surprised food not reach in 1 hour. I called Ymmybay and they said they will confirm. They call after 10 minutes and gave standard response " the delivery boy has left, he will reach any minute."
Finally around 9:20 the delivery boy came and we had huge surprise, For order of Rs 303 in website, I was given bill of Rs 466! I called Yummybay and said what is this. The customer care was very unhelpful He said, we have disclaimer that price change may happen anytime. I said price change is ok- 300 can become 350-360; not 50% more from 303 to 466! He said I would have to pay extra as per bill. Yummybay was not responsible for price difference.
It was 9:30 and after 90 minutes, I had food that was 50% more than promised and customer care who was telling customer about disclaimers in website. The owner of restaurant called and said there would be no change in price and I have to pay 466 or return food and I should deal with yummybay. Yummybay was like you placed order so you pay.
So in the end after 90 minutes, all I get is a lecture about reading disclaimers on website and paying for food 50% more than I thought or going hungry. If you want similar service, try the website at your risk.
I do not recommend website to anyone.
