I had done a booking with them, at 9:15 pm yesterday. Promised delivery time was 10:30 pm however when there was no sign of the delivery I went to the outlet myself at 10:45, and he said he had not received any information from Tastykhana and he is about to close down so even if he gets one he may not be able to service the order.
However seeing my plight he agreed to take my order manually. I was in the hotel till 11:00 pm while my order was prepared, and there was no information from Tastykhana to him to process my order.
Then at around 11 pm I receive an email from them that:
Unfortunately, your first takeaway order with us for Takeaway Order No xyz with xxxxxx could not be processed due to the following reason:
You are not reachable despite multiple attempts.
This despite my mobile being on full signal, even I saw this email on my mobile using my data connection which means I was completely reachable.
I tried calling their help line but no one answered it and there was just some music. They are now offering me 100 Rs. discount on my next bill because of this, do you think I am idiot enough to order again from Tastykhana?
I don't know why people start such 'innovative' businesses without the necessary support infrastructure, just to harass people. Luckily I had chosen COD so I do not have to chase them for refunds.
