Sets aside lot of Opportunity to load
Jan 05, 2018 10:30 PM1469 Views

I went by Ibnlive.com on web once and I can state that the site of IBN is woeful to utilize. It is a moderate site and it shows the most strangest news to acquire consideration from individuals. The greater part of the news displayed by them are unreasonable and it requires a ton of investment to open a connection.

The administration and support it entirely terrible. The data profundity is the most exceedingly bad that I have seen.

There is nothing for the sake of substance. The greater part of their news are either phony or over performed.

Its isn't easy to understand by any means. Its requires a great deal of investment to stack.

I would not prescribe anybody to take after this site. I will give it 2/5 stars.

Very slow
Aug 21, 2017 06:50 PM1960 Views

Ibnlive.com is a very slow news website. Using this website for latest news is a bad experience. The news content they provide do not have in depth information about any particular news . Also as soon as the page start to load, advertisement start to show which is very annoying. All the news articles and the videos on Ibnlive.com are at lest 2-3 hours old. The website mostly shows news from metro cities . In sports category, it shows news about cricket only .So if you want any information about other games , you have to switch to other sites. In politics, website have news only from central government . you will not find any news from regional politics. The amount of time it takes to load and various advertisement it shows is very annoying for its user.

Takes Lot Of Time To Load!
Jun 13, 2017 06:18 PM2060 Views

I visited Ibnlive.com on internet once and I can say that the website of IBN is pathetic to use. It is a very slow website and it displays the most weirdest news to gain more attention from people. Most of the news presented by them are illogical and it takes a lot of time to open a link.

The service and support is pretty bad.

The information depth is the worst that I have witnessed.

There is nothing in the name of content. Most of their news are either fake or over dramatized.

It is not user friendly at all.

It takes a lot of time to load.

I would not recommend anyone to follow this website. I will give it 1/5 stars.

Formal News Channel
Nov 28, 2016 10:47 PM2668 Views

I use to listen to the news from the web when I am not in the home and so I prefer to use either AAJTAK or any other news channel once my friend suggested to use this channel and so I tried this also but I found this channel lagging in the competitive world of live reporting the facts and figures regarding any event or incident.

I found the news that is shown in it not worth interesting that may let people fixed to the reporter and listen to the news. The services which is provided by the reporters are not that much informative and interesting. The information is not collected well and properly and the timeline which is shown in not that much effective.

They try to show us different varieties of news that may include politics, bollywood and sports but in my point of view the channel also includes relevant news regarding the new technologies and new things not only it would focus only on any particular sector.

I think I am not satisfied by the news which is provided daily. In my opinion it would change the style of reporting so that people love news and should stick to it when some important live news is going on.

The website loading time is also more and it takes more time to load the contents.

Complaint About Non-Despatching of Prizes
Nov 24, 2016 03:22 PM2674 Views

To, Editor-in-chief, News18.com(formerly known as IBNLive.com),

Sir/Madam, for the last 8 years I have been reminding you about my long pending gratifications which I won in your cricket contest and you have been shamelessly ignoring my complaints in order to hide your malafide intentions. Before beating your chest about austerity and unbiased approach, kindly introspect how you have been cheating your viewers in the name of giving them "exciting prizes". You earn so much from the SMSes which the viewers send to you in response to you contest question and in turn you cheat the viewers and gobble up their prizes. I hope people will stop watching your channel and file criminal case against you for fraud and forgery.

Fraud IBN Group
May 06, 2015 04:39 PM3895 Views

Kindly take note of my 8 year old long pending complaint where CricketNext.com has been denying me of my prizes which I won in their cricket contest in December 2007 and March 2008? Despite countless reminders sent since December 2007, CricketNext team has failed to despatch my prizes-Complete Cricket Kit and Suzuki Access scooter- which I won in the Public Ka Kaptan Contest on 12th December 2007. Kindly verify the video footage of CNN-IBN's cricket show Airtel LOC(Love Of Cricket) broadcasted on 12th December 2007 7:30PM, in order to confirm my winning and the prizes I won. Time and again I have requested CNN-IBN & IBNLIVE office to check my claims but everytime their employees have ignored my reminders. I again won in March 2008 in the same contest.

This time I won Puma shoes, t-shirts, bats and other Puma merchandise. In both the cases, I had participated through CricketNext.com website. You can check your database to confirm my participation in your contest. In fact, I should be overcompensated for this unprofessional, fraudulent, irresponsible, careless, arrogant and high handed attitude of your employees resulting in this unnecessary long delay, alongwith the above mentioned prizes. What do you have to say about that? All this confusion has been created by the sports desk and the marketing department of IBNLIVE, CricketNext and CNN-IBN.

Their staff has always tried to brush this matter under carpet in order to hide their mistakes. Your intervention in this matter will surely resolve my grievances as you are the insider in Network18 organisation and your voice will surely be heard & taken seriously by the concerned department. Looking forward to receiving all of my prizes very soon in the near future this time around.

IBN live Vedio of TV please view Online
Jan 07, 2010 12:41 PM3045 Views

This is the web site of IBN live.

The Content of the web site is very normal not extra ordinary.

Main attraction is live tv where in you can view delayed vedio of TV. This aspect is very useful in the case of a ongoing happening in the India. Its Content does not cover the World news.

It has also has different Categories which can be viewed. But so many do not cover fully.

Previously this web site used to send SMS alert to registered users. It has been discontinued off late. Reason for this interesting aspect is not revealed by the Owners.

Hope the SMS facility will be reviewed & re introduced.

I used to visit the web site soon after I received the SMS for an important news capsule.

Regards.

Good Content, IRRITATING ADS
Mar 27, 2009 12:11 PM2951 Views

Since over a few years now, I have been using the internet for most of my news/views needs. Apart from the customised news page of google, Ibnlive.com had become a major website which I would frequent for this purpose. But lately (since over 8-10 months now) I have almost stopped visiting ibnlive.

Not that their content has gone bad, but the extent of IRRITATING, INTRUSIVE & UNWANTED ads on the homepage have bugged the hell out of me.

After a few months, I visited the site again today, and the IQ of the ads seems to be going sky high (IQ = IRRITATION QUOTINET). Theres this banner that they have devised, which appears on top of the page, such that it seems to push the homepage down and peep from behind it.

The most hopeless bit is that the close buttton on this banner appears only after it has fully unviled itself. And while this agonising thing slides its way to heights of irritation, theres a medley of unwanted banners that keep increasing in size, in smooth sliding motions, covering headline after headline and pushing their ugly intents in my face! Even if I close them, they reappear at least 2-3 times.

I have not had ANY WEBSITE, give so many ad related problems.I wrote to ibnlive about this as well, but of course there was no reponse. Apparently they still feel just because someone is opening their homepage to read news, its their birthright to give him everything else except the news.

I would swear NEVER ever to buy that brand which is irritating me, but then I dont even remember its name. Whats the point of such advertising?I think ibnlive is the WORST website when it comes to managing ads. And if one quits the website for this reason, it hardly matters if the content was good!

Informative but just too commercial
Mar 26, 2009 09:43 PM2715 Views

I generally use this site when I want to keep myself updated at work since I don't get time with my television, and it was serving my purpose until recently, the site has just become too commercial.

And advertisements keep popping up from all corners of the page making it very unpleasant when you are reading the news. I was a great fan of this site for its promptness and speed of the news but sad to say I enjoy it no more since its become more of a advertisers heaven rather than informative, important news.

I just hope these guys listen and change the look of the website so that people-like me can use it for what its made for. People at Viacom 18 if listening please listen and pay heed-since I like your news not your advertisements for that I have other channels that will show me that.

IBN Blogs -- Promoting Communalism
Aug 05, 2007 03:57 PM3006 Views

This is with respect to an excellent blog post by Ms Ghosh at https://ibnlive.com/blogs/sagarikaghose/223/2220/shshshmuslim.html.

Here she observes that Hindus consider all muslims as terrorists.

She says that Hindus readily accept that a Muslim can be a terrorist.

My point is that how can a journalist of a reputed channel like IBN, write such communalist statements.

Will this not lead to a further rift between Hindus and Muslims?

I have tried to counter he arguments by  citing examples.

Its immaterial who the culprit is, Hindu or Muslim, Law is Law- Justice

is Justice. A criminal is a criminal first, then he can be a Muslim or

a Hindu.

We Indians are already divided of the name of cast and

religion, a small spark to lead to a 1992 or a ghodra; at least the

so-called responsible journalists of IBN should not add fuel to Fire. I

believe that a journalist should be sensitive enough and handle these

matters delicately.

I believe that they write such provocative posts

just to gain cheap popularity. Just look at the comments to her post,

they clearly reflect a division between Hindu and Muslim comments. Ms.

Ghosh you have succeeded in creating yet another rift between Hindus

and Muslims.

I request you all to come together and tell them that we will not take this crap from them anymore.

Please write your own views about IBN blogs.

Please read the entire blog here and leave your comments.

IBN Live - The repository of pigs
Jul 06, 2007 10:32 AM3059 Views

This is more of an experience sharing rather than a Review - per se. Usually I tune into a few news channel like NDTV 24x7, Headlines Today, IBN & Aaj Tak AND I omit certain others

like Sahara Samay, Star News, etc. The main idea behind tuning into a select few was their ’Quality’. Pranoy Roy is a person who I’ve always kept in a respected position in my mind.

All that was shattered when I read a ’So called Personal Opinion’.

Not liking a movie, terming it as rubbish (or even excreme

Ibnlive.com

nt - a synonym of the word Crap), badmouthing an actor or director or the cast or the story line - All that is fine by me. Does any one in MS think its even remotely fair to term a group of movie-goers as pigs? If this is how a set of people are being referred to in a person’s personal webpage or blog site, I would still live with it - but if this is how one of the ’so-called’ National News Channel’s Website describes a group of people (and later puts in a word that its the author’s personal opinion) is it legal? Is this ethical, professional and/or even decent to do so?

I have read reviews of bad movies, I have read bad reviews of movies, but I can not seem to understand the logic behind naming a set of movie-goers as a herd of pigs? If there are any journalists in MS or anyone even remotely connected to IBN Live, please help me understand the ethics of your industry? Is it justifiable to call someone a pig - and then try to cover that up by stating that its a personal opinion?

I could digest the following facts,

MF Hussain’s nude painting of Indian Goddesses (Artistic freedom)

Danish cartoon’s of Mohammed (Artistic freedom)

Mira Nairs ’FIRE’ showing Brahmin women in a lesbian relationship (Creative freedom)

Salman Rushdie’s Satanic Verses (Freedom of thought)

US’s attack on Iraq under the pretext of WMD (Protecting one’s country against terrorist attacks)

I could accept all of these because - at the end of it, the coolie on the street, the poor & needy, the auto walas, weren’t badmouthed. All these sure hurt sentiments (the last one also hurt physically) but they did not go around terming any one as pigs - at least not as blatantly as the personal opinion expressed by the author of the news channel.

Is this what News Industry calls "Freedom of Speech"? Is this the reason why India is termed a Democracy - so that one person who’s got a position at a respected news channel is able to air her personal view that a bunch of movie-goers as pigs? To me, Anuradha "THE PIG" Sen Gupta has abused her position; thrown her responsibility to the wind and has involved in gutter-level tactics to garner popularity. In a way, she has effectively done between Tamilians & Rest of Indians, what the British did between Muslims & Hindus.

Jammu & Kashmir is filled with terrorists from Pak, East India is facing ULFA, SIMI, Andhra is facing naxalites, Western India is plagued by Hindu-based fanatics, Central India is facing the likes of Mulayam Singh & Mayawati & Lalu Yadav, Karnataka is facing farmer suicides and Tamil Nadu is living with the effects of LTTE in Sri Lanka still lingering in people’s minds - why is the author trying to further divide India and create unrest amongst the people in the North and Tamilians?

I respect her rights under Article 19 of the constitution of India; however is this legal to term a group of people as Pigs? I raise this question to all those people out there - irrespective of their region, religion, etc - as a human being - do you think its justifiable for a News Channel’s website to host a blog that terms a group of people as Pigs?
