Homelane Visiting Charge(Service) is Exorbitant.

Homelane does a very bad job They use cheap material for hinges and auto closure draws which stop working in one year. Their door allignment for wardrobes is pathetic and if we call them to fix it, they are asking for exorbitant visiting charges even without trying to understand the problem. Their service is pathetic. Dont go with them.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with HomeLane. The service they provided was pathetic, to say the least. From the start, I had to follow up repeatedly for every little thing, and it felt like they simply didn't care about their customers.


The finishing of the work was pretty ordinary, far below what I expected from a professional interior design company. HomeLane has outsourced their work, including electrical, false ceiling, and custom woodwork, to different vendors, but there was absolutely no coordination between them. This lack of communication and management led to constant delays and frustration.


Even after the work was supposedly completed, I did not receive any formal communication confirming the project's completion. I also never received any information regarding the warranty. The only follow-up I got was a feedback email, asking me to provide a good rating. Once I did so, everyone from HomeLane stopped responding to my emails and messages. I later discovered that this feedback was considered the final step and marked the project as complete on their end, which was never communicated to me.


At the time of booking, HomeLane promised a 10-year warranty on their products. However, after the work was completed, they informed me that I would need to pay ₹750+ tax for each ticket I raise. This was never mentioned during the initial discussions.


There were numerous issues throughout the process, including a water leakage from the sink, which was pointed out by their own QA team. Despite this, no one from HomeLane showed up to fix it, and I ended up having to take care of it myself.


Overall, the service and experience were extremely poor, and I would strongly advise anyone considering HomeLane for their home interiors to think very carefully before proceeding. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Terrible Experience with Homelane Unprofessional

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Homelane. The service they provided was pathetic, to say the least. I had to follow up repeatedly for every little thing, and it seemed like they just didn't care about their customers.


The bed that was supposed to be under warranty had issues, and when they finally did the paintwork, it was completely unprofessional. The finish was sloppy and nowhere near what I expected from a so-called interior design company.


I'm tired of dealing with their lackluster service and would not recommend Homelane to anyone looking for quality or professionalism. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere!

Absolute bad experience, the whole team corner you to get the 5% Advance , with loads of promises . Once advance received , you have to work with their terms and conditions. They do not stick to any timeline promises. The moment they realised time constrained , your advance is gone.


The owner is absolutely unethical character . He asked for our order details, never even bother to check / understand how to get the job done . All what I achieve is lost my 5% advance . INR 25000.


These are bunch of thieves, do not get fooled by the over promises and videos .


I was dealing with Homelane Bhubaneswar, Odisha , but this is happening across india . Avoid them as much as possible .


Bunch of jokers to snatch your money .

Extreme disappointment with HL. I paid >40lacs and now just following them over WhatsApp and email without Any response. Poor quality material, inexperienced installation staff, no response policy (no response of calls, messages and emails). Huge gaps in agreed designs vs delivered material. For every order they will sign legal contract and later they will side conditions of contract. Big fraud company

For Cancelling the Order from HomeLane Interior works


We are not satisfied, I paid Rs- 54600(5% of total cost) in the month of July 2024 for advance booking but due to the financial reason, we request them for cancelling the order and refund the amount but they're delaying to proceeding this in the name of Terms and policy.


For Daily Basis, I'm following up with the customer care they're postponing every 24 hours for the representative executive.

After taking pre-booking amount and locking the project they are asking me to work on a new quote because they have closed they office in Mangalore. At the time of discussion it was clearly put across to them that it's a under construction flat and it would need a year more for completion and they agreed to it and they aren't ready to complete the project and asking me to get couple of works with another interior designer

Homelane outsource their work. They Communicate wonderful before you are on board. Once they receive your payment they get a lot problems even though they have executive, Manager, team lead, project manager no one will communicate about the delays. They outsource their work. Please don't just go by the sweet talks of sales. Most of them offer the same warranty with lesser price. Google for reviews before you deal.

Placed an order and had to cancel it.


They're absolute cheaters.


Ordered at Dilsukhnagar branch, Hyderabad.


They verbally committed for a superior quality HDHMR and Plywood boards.


But after taking advance changed all the specifications with mala fide intentions.


After taking token advance, they totally stopped responding to our E.mails, Calls and Messages.


Do not get cheated.


No Respite from their customer care.

My horror experience!


1st stage of scam: Relationship manager(Sarmista Biswal)




  1. Promises 3 fake referrals(30k) to close the deal asap on same day.




  2. Will continue the fake referrals drama for 6-7 months and then completely deny it




  3. Intelligently always responds on this topic over calls so that there is no written proof




  4. Firstly gives huge discounts on overpriced products and then trick you into making advance payment on same day to hold the discounts 5. Ignores calls and messages after payment. When called from another SIM card, picks up and gives lame excuses.






2nd stage of scam: Designer(Kishan Reddy S)




  1. Unprofessional and rude designers




a. Changes the wardrobe shutter colours and blame it on the customer saying that is what was requested


b. Changes the internals of wardrobe after design meeting


c. They will not spend much time explaining different wardrobe options etc, instead expect customer to have enough common sense to know and understand the differences in them


d. No knowledge if what they are designing will be even functional enough: Designs a tiny drawer for dressing table


e. Promises the look of wardrobe shutters in a certain way and then final product is something else




  1. In the final quote, they add items/services to your contract without discussing with you and promise that it will be returned after handover.




  2. Next they will not give you enough time to go through the quote/contract saying if not paid the prices will go up next day




  3. If design is changed due to rejection by QC team, designer wont get back and discuss the alternatives with customer, instead add the most expensive alternatives.






3rd stage of scam: Home lane organization/ Managers




  1. Does not take responsibility of mistakes of their employees.




  2. They charge ₹ 1, 49, 448 for armadio wardrobe shutters, when said that its not as what was discussed, they ask 10.5k more to fix the mistake done by designer that too with certain colour restrictions.




  3. They will take 100% of payment before items are installed in your premises.




  4. In case of any issues in the delivered product you have to run behind them




  5. None of the managers or designers will be available in the showroom after payment - either left the company or changed branch or wfh etc




  6. The escalation team ie care@homelane.com(mailto:care@homelane.com) gives same answers as given by designers/managers. No point contacting them.




  7. Team is mostly on leave, abroad trips or week offs.




  8. Team keeps changing and customer has to explain the issues from the beginning to the new team




  9. When asked for meeting with QC team, they ask us to write to customer support. They will not help you.




  10. The Whatsapp group they create is a waste!






Suggestion




  1. Do not go with this company




  2. Don't fall for lucrative offers and discounts. Its a scam!




  3. If already stuck or want to proceed with them, video or voice record all the conversations




  4. Give the designer all the requirements in writing on email




  5. Before making payment make sure you go through all the measurements inch by inch and colours and all specifications of the product in depth




  6. Note down all the corrections provided to designer and check if all are fulfilled.




  7. Be ready to take whatever they throw at your face

I visited Bibewadi branch.. Relationship mangar's (wel dressed with no brain) first statement was are you just exploring means doing timepass or seriously thinking .. I said exploring for now and then finalize the things.. He said if you finalizes the things then only will provide you quotation.. And he was literally least interested to talk with us.. Then I decided to go with Livespace.. My advise don't prefer these unprofessional people who don't even respect when somebody approached to work with them.. My wife was bit disturbed cause of his silly behaviour as she felt like insulted.

I got very bad experience with home lane.


I have a villa and I placed an order of 10.5 lakh with homelane.


When the electrician came which is third party. He was so rude. He messed all rooms he worked in.


He removed the existing electric boards and put conecealed boards without any switches.


And he said now some another person will come he will cover the "zari", putting some kind of material over the gaps.


then he will able to put switch boards. Its almost 2 days now passed still there are no switch boards put in place. My office work is almost stopped due to this.

We have been to JP Nagar showroom their warm welcome is first best impression. Then on started with a design discussion by Shruthi understood our requirements in soon time and suggested which matched our property dimensions. Their software tool Space Craft saves our time hugely with more clarity 3D features. Started design phase once I agree through journey was a hassle free delivered installed handed over the CommunityManger Shruti Sahu quite available and helpful the moment we need any regarding project.


A big recommendation to one is to expect the expedite process of Home interior!!! :)

Most thirdclass work. Within three months, wardrobe shutters stopped working. On raising issue, they asked for serrlvice charge. All staff changed their duties to others. They also stopped receiving calls. B-3002070710-ahm is my customer id. All are requested not to go with homelane. Worst interiors. Better do work with carpenter


Its not "Homelane" its "StudioLane"

I was initially happy about how things were being taken up until the point I made payment, but it is true that Homelane stops giving you as much attention once you make the 100%.


The fact is, company should be called "Studio Lane" and not "Home lane", because team is not bothered at all about making your "Home", they just execute project in a manner that they want to wrap it up as soon as possible. Its just like another project for them. The designer who designs home is not even bothered about what your home looks like after its done, unlike an actual interior designer who cares about making your place beautiful like their own.




  1. Designing




  2. Our designer spent the most minimum effort possible in designing our home. For everything that we asked why it cant be done certain way she had weird explanations which mostly were cover ups for lack of customization offers.




  3. Like I mentioned above, designer was least bothered about quality of execution. They did not even visit once to check if its executed well as per designing element.




  4. We had to choose our own colours and figure out our own combinations. We had not much help or many options suggested by designer for laminate colors at all.




  5. Execution




  6. They sent a very bad team at our home who carried out execution in a very very hurried manner. The entire furniture has 2-5mm of finishing faults everywhere.




  7. Kitchen: Of all, I have got the worst kitchen made. They took inaccurate measurements and 1 inch of gap is left wasted in my kitchen trolleys unnecessarily. My drawers are so small in both height and depth that I feel really frustrated because of it. He had promised that he will fill the gap with fillers due to cockroaches problem but it is also not filled. When I tried to explain him the problems, he started getting angry on me only. If the carpenter team had done their work properly, there wouldn't be so many finishing problems in my kitchen. When I asked them to fix the alignment problems, they did a lot of patchwork with "jugaad" with feviquick and small strips sticked here and there.




  8. TV Unit: It is also fully unaligned. They sent a very very inexperienced guy to fix the tv shelves which I received after 2 months! All TV shelves are aligned oddly and its looking very bad which is like first view of entire house.




  9. BED: Modular bed also has a lot of problem which I had to get fixed from an external carpenter.






I feel I have done a huge mistake by opting for homeland after facing so many problems and having furntire made with such less finishing even for modular. Modular furniture is known for its finishing but my modular furniture looks like its attached by some 18 year old inexperienced carpenter.


The truth about peace and "Home Sweet Home"

I am(my project ID: Ben-B-3001783702) one of the many victims of Homelane and am using this forum to expose Homelane’s fraud and dirty reality. It has the most unethical, unprofessional and negligent people on board. A big question mark on their integrity, cheated and committed fraud with me. Homelane promised “A” grade quality material but delivered “C”, and asked me to adjust with subpar quality by offering a price discount. Such a shame! Because of these unprofessional behaviors, I have lost approx. INR 5 Lakhs solely due to damages caused by Homelane at the site. Promised designed was nowhere close to the shabby reality and importantly, they have lack of project management or effective leadership.


Even after tons of phone calls to project team and escalation of emails to the highest level(CEO and compliance Head), these people are least worried about their reputation, as they think people like me have no choice and voice to name and shame them. It’s not a joke to deceive people by taking money and betray on project delivery. I know for a fact that Homelane doesn’t care & underestimates the power of social media, and thinks it can continue to take people and their money for granted. I want to caution people not to get intimidated by their fancy brochures and social media/TV ads and fall in their trap.


I dare to challenge Homelane CEO Shrikanth Iyer to counter my statement with proofs if any. Do you have guts?

Doesnt deserve 1 star, They have money luring phases. Inexperienced designers like Disha Katari and Stupid sales guys like Sukdev who will walk behind you on weekends to get booking and then wont get into details.


They donot understand proper requirements.


Interior designing is all about value seen vs cost but this HomeLane fails to understand.


Cons


Too pricy and even for empty cabinet designer is ready to charge 20K means come on empty cabinet 20K is this a value in your own house.


Overall process has flaws




  1. 5% amount which will never be communicated as non refundable. No formal agreement with signed copy.




  2. Design phase can be made by any normal graduate or housewife who want to decorate their homes.






Only plug and play and fancy 3D show of home in Design phase to pass time and show they are working.




  1. Interior designer comes for measurement with an inch tape and sales guy who will never execute the actual order in production




  2. Too much pricy, for painting 72K is the quote without proper reasoning behind.






I questioned them with other vendors for painting and none of their employees answered questions ever.




  1. Electrical charges default amount 50K without any breakup - No clue how many switches will be procured and just a tentative budget.No information shared on electrical switches quality brand.




Standard answer - Will try to match what your builder provided but no correct answer.




  1. Discount concept is hoax , it’s like show MRP as 3X and give discount of X.




  2. Not everywhere you need HDF material but designers are keen on increasing budget and later pointing to customers “itne me itna hoga” - They need to learn business by visiting market and understand what works best.Thats why interior designers are hired and not just for 3D painting and drawings. This any Software can do then why interior designers are needed.




  3. They will force you for masking with inappropriate dates. No slots are available in morning time just to get money out of customer pockets.






I wont recommend this to anyone unless you wont to give money to greedy people who wont pick your phone once you move out of engagement.


I have added a snap from my engagement with them and the experience so to aware others planning to go with HomeLane.
