Gojiyo

Gojiyo.com is the best place to be if you want to have fun in a virtual world.

It is India's answer to Second life. It was powered by Godrej which was working on its re-branding at that time. So the pockets were deep and the budget was huge.

The initial versions were a bit buggy but were still fun as it was a new experience. You could have an avatar there which could buy and change clothes. You could earn mios and jios by participating in various events and games. You could even fly, run or walk and teleport to other worlds. Yes there were different worlds called regions.

There were also virtual helpers called seeders who used to mingle amongst normal users and act as guides.

They have now modernized the interface and now the graphics are much better than the original site. I still visit it some times.

I met some of my friends there who are now real world friends.

They even organised many real world events and contests for its regular users.

Verdict: if you are bored of same old Twitter and want to try the next level of social networking then this is for you.
