This is the homepage of the Federation Internazionale de L'Automobile, which governs a large number of motor-sports worldwide. Formula 1 fans, WRC (world rally championships) followers and karting crazies should all find oodles of stuff in here that will keep them reading and clicking.
The site is well laid out, with links to the various championships governed by FIA, latest news items, interviews with stars like Michael Schumacher, press images, and even a short history of the organization, plus its structure and member clubs. Till visiting this site, I never knew that it had started as far back as 1904, which meant that it came into being almost as soon as motor cars made an appearance!
For the serious follower, there is also an archive with links from 1995 onwards. I was a bit disappointed that the archives did not go back to the 80s and 70s, but I guess that they haven't gotten around to converting their paper clippings into digital format.
Fans will also find the calendar of events quite useful, especially in making sure that you dont miss an important race because you didnt know it was on! Another interesting link is the Regulations page, which provide the regulations of all sports governed by FIA in an easy to download format.
The only drawbacks to the site that I felt were the relative absence of pictures, lack of a REAL archive (only 10 years out of 102 years is archived) and absence of online feeds for the current status of a race, when one is going on.
