I signed up for the Diet Delivery service on April 25, 2011. From the first week itself, there were problems. Their dabbawalla, Gyaneshwar, whose delivery services I was paying for as part of the meal service, refused to deliver the food. He turned abusive, used rude language and said he could not climb the stairs everyday to deliver the dabba. Next day, he called me and told me "neeche aake dabba le jao".
I called up the diet delivery helpline and he was instructed to deliver the dabba. I was also assured by Sonia, the operations manager of Diet Delivery, that he would deliver food, from the next day, without turning abusive. The next day, he simply left the dabba at the ground floor entrance to my building and disappeared. When I called diet delivery this time, they said I had to go downstairs to get the food since the dabbawalla was already on his way to the station. I had to go down to fetch it.
I threatened to discontinue the service, but they assured that they would have a talk with the dabbawalla and sort it out. Next day, I kept waiting for my food. At 3 o'clock, the dabbawalla came to my door with a friend of his with the dabba and both of them turned abusive this time, when I told them to come on time. By then, I had had enough.
I discontinued the service and asked diet delivery for a refund, which they had taken from me in advance. It has been four weeks. I am still to receive my refund. They say they have couriered a cheque to me, when I had specifically asked for a cash refund, since I had paid in cash. If I ever do get the cheque, I will be forced to deposit a cheque with the paltry sum of 300 odd bucks. This is a very bad service. Please avoid. In contrast, the new guys https://foodizm.in are far more professional, courteous and deliver healthy meals, on time, for the same price.
