Bid2win Tv Programme-cheating people,making bhakra
Jan 04, 2009 09:51 PM 10522 Views

I had won two mobiles by spending Rs.13, 000/- for sms charges for bidding.

Afterfew months I got a courier from Bid2win. Very curiously I opened this courier, to my surprise, there was a shock waiting for me in that letter. They asked meto pay Rs.10, 500/- Tax and send the receipt to Bid2win to get the mobile. I wasvery much shocked seeing this letter and I did not know what to do. Because Ihad no money, I had spent all my money for bidding. But some how I wanted to adjust the amountand get the mobile. But after few months I got a letter from Bid2win sayingthat your time period is over and you can’t get mobile now.

Afterthis I didn’t know what to do, I had sent a mail to Bid2win requesting them toallow me to pay the tax now and get the mobile. But they said my time period isover.

Inthis matter I have lost around Rs.13, 000/- for sms charges and got nothing fromthis.

Now, I have dropped my new mobile dream and continuing with the same old mobileNokia 1100.

Inthe television programme Bid2win people were just trying to fool people bysaying that they can win a mobile just for few paises. And telling Televisionviewers to send sms repeatedly and do more and more biddings to win the mobile. They were not telling about the sms charges that it will be Rs.10/-+ tax atthe beginning of the programme or at the end of the programme or even at themiddle of the programme. And after winning also they were not telling any oneabout the tax amount to be paid to get the mobile. If they had told me aboutall these I would have never sent a single sms to Bid2win. And after winning amobile if they had told me about the tax amount, I could have stopped biddingfor the second mobile. Now also this programme is telecasting in some channelsplease bring these points to bid2win people and also T.V. viewers and stoppeople from getting fooled by Bid2win.

Bid2Win - Cheating and Fraud Unearthed

I got attracted to thier bidding and decided to purchase some credits online. I went to thier website, got registered and used my CC to purchase Rs. 1000 worth of credits. They have two gateways for payment. One is Paypal and the other is ICICI. I used the ICICI gateway and processed the transaction using my CC. After 2 minutes, I got an error message as usual with all these websites.

Since I had bad experience in the past, I waited for 2 days and then called up my bank to see if the transaction went through. To my surprise, the transaction has been processed and to my shock an amount of Rs. 1500 instead of Rs 1000 has been taken from my account and the vendor had already taken the payment. I did the transaction on 18th Oct 07 and called up the bank on 20th Oct 07.

Inspite of sending e-mails my account stills shows 0 credits.  Today being 2nd Nov, 07 I send then a final e-mail with a 48 hours  limit before I go legal. Though their website says they respond to e-mail in 24hrs, My e-mails are not acknowledged yet.

So friends, stay away for these guys. Also do not buy anything online, if you do not see the address and phone number of the company in the website. Eg is bid2win, they do not have an address and phone number, and the e-mails are seldon answered.

Pete

Bid to lose
Feb 09, 2007 05:10 PM 7089 Views

Its not bid2win but bid to lose your money. For most of the sms bids that you send to 6644 which is their number, you get replies like server busy, insufficient balance, unknown error etc from 6644. You get charged Rs. 10/- for these sms anyway. And if you contact them regarding these errors, they ask you to speak with your telecom operator when its not your operator but them sending these error messages in reply.

Their site updates rarely. The price list for buying credits shows one amount if you are not logged in and another amount after you login to buy credit. The winners list shows data from one month back. If you want to know winners of recent contests, you will have to wait till next month. They even had the paypal login form embedded in their page instead of redirecting to a secure page in paypal site initially. So beware of taking part in these contests.
