I think Anand Mahindra should seriously consider pulling out of this venture.. After years of building considerbale brand equity by supplying quality automobiles in the Indian market, automartindia looks like a huge dent on M&M's brand.
I purchased an M800 from them a couple of years ago, and I now realize that even a roadside second-hand dealer wouldn't have deceived me as much as Automartindia.
I went to automart, as their cars were cheaper than TrueValue, and only later did I realize why. There's absolutely no value addition done in automart workshops - except probably washing and polishing - flies flat in the face of 'refurbishing' which they claim. In my case, they didn't even change the consummables like the engine, gearbox & brake fluids. the interirors were shitty, the plastic panels cracked and danglinq without screws.
The service was as bad as you can imagine - I was asked to make all payment upfront. The car was delivered to me about 2 weeks later than the promised date. I wonder what they were doing with the car all this while- it wasn't refurbished either. The papers were transferred to me after a full 5 months- can you beat that ????? The sales reps I dealt with came up with a barrage of excuses/half truths/and even blatant lies at times.
Even today I have absolutely no peace of mind - what was sold to me as a fine, sparingly used second hand vehicle, which had supposedly gone thru 120 check point test, was in fact an accidental vehicle. It had met with a serious accident, and had been repainted. The paint is now chiiping away and I can see flakes of rust on the body.
So much for a Certified Used Car from AUTOMARTINDIA.
Its my sincere advise to you- please do not go to automartindia under any cirsumstances.
If you want to buy a car -
wait for a little while if you want to, but go for a new car
go to maruti truevalue, if you want to go for a pre-owened maruti. U'll have to pay a premium, but atleast the cars will be good.
