FlippaScam - Silenced for Uncovering Corruption

Silenced for Uncovering Corruption: How Flippa Banned Me for Exposing Insider Favoritism and Unethical Practices

My experience with Flippa has been deeply frustrating and disheartening, especially in how they apply their policies. Despite successfully selling over 550 websites with consistently positive feedback, I was met with unprecedented scrutiny and unfair enforcement of policies targeted solely at my account. After raising valid concerns about other sellers who were selling unlicensed Codecanyon scripts, my account was banned under the pretext of “policy violations, blackmail because of mentioning their CEO name.” This entire ordeal felt less like a policy enforcement and more like retaliation for speaking up.

Throughout my time on the platform, I consistently noticed that Flippa’s policies were enforced selectively. For example, I was flagged for offering BIN (Buy It Now) deals, while it’s common for other sellers to offer BIN bonuses like unrelated courses or ‘buy one, get one free’ offers. In my case, my BIN offer was directly relevant to the product, yet I was singled out. Another example was my use of the term “potentially higher margins, ” which is standard phrasing on Flippa, used by countless other sellers. However, I was forced to remove it, only to face new issues shortly after. Each time I complied with their requests, another rule seemed to appear, making it clear this was not genuine policy enforcement but rather a targeted effort to harass me and my account.

When I reported two specific sellers who were deceptively selling Codecanyon scripts by disguising SaaS products on subdomains while presenting a basic WordPress front page, I expected the same scrutiny to be applied as it was with my listings. Instead, my concerns were disregarded, and no action was taken. Notably, both profiles appear to be indirectly linked to Flippa executives; otherwise, there’s no explanation for how they’ve been able to operate for so long without consequence. Rather than addressing these issues, the Integrity Team, led by Ian McFaul and Rachel O., repeatedly harassed me with demands to change trivial elements of my listings, while other sellers continued these practices unchallenged. When I mentioned my plan to document and escalate these issues to the CEO, they accused me of “blackmail” and permanently banned my account without addressing the actual concerns I raised. It’s worth mentioning that two years ago, I left a detailed review exposing these kinds of unethical practices on Flippa. At the time, I was contacted by a respectful representative from Flippa who requested I take it down, and I agreed in good faith. Unfortunately, that individual is no longer with the company.

The harassment I faced was systematic and unrelenting. Both Ian McFaul and Rachel O. seemed organized in their efforts to push my account off the platform. They would flag my listings for minor infractions while overlooking the same or worse practices in other accounts. After complying with multiple demands, I began to feel this was no longer about maintaining policies but was a deliberate targeting of my account.

After they banned my account, I tried to appeal, sending multiple heartfelt messages explaining the impact of their actions, not only on me but on the 25+ families who depend on the income generated from this business. Many of these families have made commitments based on this income—supporting their children’s education, covering medical expenses for elderly family members, and more. Instead of understanding, I was met with cold, dismissive replies like “Thank you for your note, Vijay” repeatedly. I even changed my approach entirely, offering to comply with any specific rules they set, yet my sincere requests were met with sarcasm, showing a clear lack of empathy for the people affected by their decision.

In the end, Flippa’s approach is not just a matter of policy—it’s about accountability. I believe that their actions represent online bullying in the name of policy enforcement. This experience has left me with deep concerns about how Flippa’s Integrity Team operates and the selective enforcement of their rules. If a platform’s success depends on fairness, transparency, and trust, Flippa has demonstrated a complete disregard for these principles in my case.

I hope that others considering this platform can see beyond the facade of “policy” and understand the real practices at work here.

Psychopath like Ian McFaul Should Be Avoided
Nov 29, 2023 11:20 AM586 Views

As the user below also talked about bad things about Ian, Ian McFaul

is an incompetent SOB.

An agent from Flippa, Ian McFaul, suspended my account without cause following an argument. Individuals like him, unable to differentiate personal disputes from professional conduct, should not be employed anywhere globally. Suspending a customer's account based on personal feelings is an indication of Flippa's backward and unprofessional practices.

p.s. Flippa replied as follows: "We support our team and reject these claims entirely."This is yet another baseless falsehood. These scammers(Flippa) didn't even refund my money after suspending my account. Flippa is already infamous among buyers for neglecting scammers on the platform(because they themselves are scammers), lacking customer support, and having incompetent staff members who suspend customer accounts for personal reasons.

TIPS FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS BY 25+ YEARS EXPERT!
Nov 06, 2023 01:35 PM532 Views

TIPS FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS BY 25+ YEARS EXPERT IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, CYBER SECURITY, . 100% HELPFUL FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS.

Not a good company. They send fake buyers and ban a seller anytime. Most of the buyers that we get were without ID verified and made social engineering with us.

My ratings for this platform are below

1: Racist: 5/5

2: Spamming: 5/5

3: Scamming: 5/5

4: Rude Customer support: 5/5

If you are asian they will treat like dog litellary.

They will not respond your ticket for 20 days if you are from any asian country. Or you get repond less than 50 -100 words.

If anyone thinking for career or planning to buy any assets here are the tips.

1: Do not trust earning claim from the seller. Their woocommerce and paypal verified are bug which can by pass anyone. I mean seller are manually create fake orders in woocommerce store and their Apps marked it woocommerce verified.

2: Do not buy SaaS, AI, Woocomerce, dropshipping etc.

3: Affiliate earning also manipuated by chrome extensions, inspect elements etc.

4: Paypal verified means, you can connect your paypal and it will mark it verified. It will not ask whether the sales earning credited or not.

They are 100% aware and endrose this fraud for their listing fees, success fees.

I can GURANTEE the buyer will be 101% lose their money, no doubts.

Tips for buyers: Please google and you will find a lot of trusted platform who verify the listing manually and only list 100% earning verified listing.

My last review here was flagged by them because they cannot allow anyone speak truth and expose them.

If you are sellers thn tips for you:

1: Please do not take these profile permanent.

2: Explore other marketplace

3: Be careful of your assets and listing fees that anytime scammed by their platform by sending fake buyers.

4: They are master PHD in social engineering. I beleive they have separate department who do the same.

Very sad that Flippa endorsed racism, spamming, scamming, social engineeing and think that users are illeratate and not understood all these.

50% feedback here you can find the same thing stated by buyer and sellers because both get cheated due to the platform.

Only Flippa earning i.e. listing fees, success fees, broker feess bla. bla.bla.

Buyers Beware!!
Apr 03, 2023 10:50 PM740 Views (via Mobile)

Buyers have zero protection after purchase and they carry all the risk. There’s no support from the owners after buying. Sellers have all the upper hand. Scammers got $2000 from me. All I got from Flippa was “We’re looking into it” and then no follow up

Flippa review of the sellers in their platform

I advice people not to trust the reviews of the sellers in their platform the link is sent immediately after sale .After I discovered I was scammed I could not write the real review

Non-professional
Mar 02, 2023 04:19 PM767 Views

I have listed a website and randomly suspended my account, the reason as per them is one of my articles translated from English website.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that one of the writers listed an article that was translated from another source, and the same writer report against my account on Flippa. The deception was effortless, and this incident is not reflective of professionalism. As an analogy, it would be like having a platform for website sales terminate your account due to a blackmailing individual who was able to easily deceive them, resulting in a negative experience.

I don't recommend dealing with such platform, I have tried other platforms more professional really.

That is mean if you are a website or app owner and listed your assets to sell, anyone has any problem with you can spoof them easily.

keep away and find alternative platforms to deal with

Flippa supports russians
Feb 16, 2023 11:58 PM815 Views

Flippa supports russians and allows them to make business on their website. While most of the companies in the world took decision to stop working with russians, for flippa money is more important than people's lives.

Horrible experience selling on flippa

Horrible experience selling on flippa

they just bring nonsense reason to ban sellers on platform.

I had 100% positive feedback record and was a seller there from last 7 years with 30+ transactions

still they accused me for duplicate account creation and breaking flippa policies

I would never recommend anyone to deal on flippa.

they are already screwed by microacquire and empireflippers

this is complete scam platform who stole sellers listing fees and success fees and than close their accounts

I would give -1 if possible

go to hell flippa, burn in hell, your days are gone

I notice some racism(they hate Ukrainians). Doubled fees, fake people are bidding without payment need to relist( it's take over 1 month, but domain renewal comes).

Don't use it!

Stay away!

You banned me twice and took time&money away and not only them, You took something much more. I wrote You over 6 months ago that I'm doing this for a living and it's a single source of income.

I have verified ID, make a good websites and sold them, all was fine. You can check reviews in both accounts. I bought a lot of domains(using my savings) to list them on Flippa but now I got banned(can't sell them) and Why? I was just wondering how Flippa's new interface works and how it changes ranking.( check 2994897 chat).

I hope You are doing well. I'm not well at all, thanks for You.

100% positive years of selling STOLE £400+
Jan 21, 2022 03:06 AM1409 Views

THE WORST 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE FROM A 100% RATED SELLER TurnkeyProfit Mark STOLE £400+ THE SELLER DID NOT DELIVER WEBSITES HE WAS VERY RUDE AND IGNORES MESSAGES WEEKS TO MONTHS WITH NO HELP ONLY INSULTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ALLOWED THIS SELLER TO CONTINUE SELLING SAYING THEY CANNOT REFUND ME AVOID THIS DISGUSTING SCAM SITE

Read this if you want to sell on Flippa...
Jan 20, 2022 07:47 PM1489 Views

After 3 years of being on the platform with over 180+ transactions and only 100% positive reviews yesterday I got a message saying I was banned.

In total, I was banned 3 times because Flippas system always detected some intrusion, or I don't know what in my account but we could always figure it out and it was just the system at fault. This time I was suspended for multiple account use and they suspected that I bid and even won my own auction, can you believe this?(You can check my profile by typing Galaxymun or Fairyvel and check the sold listings, It's called VentureBuildz previously called Roland Fekete.)

I still believe that they will contact me that it's a mistake like the previous 3 cases but still, this is not how you treat a long term seller on your platform who has done nothing but provide the best customer experience to every buyer which resulted in the account staying at 100% positive review for 3 years now. Why on earth would I need to have or create any accounts to bid on my listings when 93% of my stores sold over the years. Thanks to our stores a lot of people are successfully generating profits each month and we are proud of that.

I stand by my stores, I stand by my quality of support and I stand by everything I do and I gave my name and face to it because I want nothing else but to create a successful business on Flippa where I don't have to fear every years or month that some system error or support in a bad mood is going to ban me after worked and developed my profile. I even brought 3 new people to Flippa and since then they successfully established their own businesses.

Already asked Flippa to look into the account they associate my profile with as at this point I suspect that a competitor may be behind the scenes but we will see the response.

Take what you want from this, If you have an established business then there are a lot of other options for you to sell your store and if you want to sell starter stores then I believe Ebay or Shopify exchange is an option. Flippa could be a beautiful platform even a monopoly in their niche if they fixed the ban first ask later mentality as judging by the reviews this is not going well. But if you still decide to sell on Flippa then don't use VPN's(I had to use them because of my day job and I suspect either that or a hack is behind this) and secure your account otherwise you may end up like me and trust me they don't care what you bring to the table or how long you are on the platform when it comes to the bans.

Got scammed by 1490$ and banned by Flippa
Jan 20, 2022 05:33 PM1575 Views

Unfortunately, I cannot give a lower than 1 star for this total amateur operation they call customer support

I’ve been selling profitable businesses on Flippa for 6 months now under the name of Fourtmac with only 100% positive reviews and I’ve started my run on Flippa with an immediate ban of my account as it was associated with my friend's account who brought me to the platform but the issue was resolved. My friend also allowed me to use his bank account details to receive payments as Escrow has a really poor selection of what they accept. This was known for both Flippa and Escrow.

About 2 weeks ago my friend got banned from the platform so I immediately contacted Flippa as I know about their horrible ways of dealing with sellers to help me change my payment info from my friend's payment details but straight up no answer for 7 days(this is what you can expect) so I went to Escrow, told them the current situation and they said they will contact Flippa to figure it out.

Well, their solution was to ban me from both Flippa and Escrow with my$490 invested inside Flippa and with my pending funds of$1000 from an earlier sale which I guess will be also stolen by them.

If you have a profitable or bigger store just take it to Empireflippers because here they are just banning people straight away and if you are a seller thinking about listing your store(s) here please let my story be the example of what you can expect from Flippa.

NEVER USE FLIPPA

Norbert Fazekas

Broozbirds

Flippa account: 791524

Full of scammers and Flippa banns the only good ones, without reason.

DON'Z SELL, DON't BUY ON FLIPPA, EVER!

I WAS a seller on Flippa under the name of my Company Broozbirds. They suddenly out of nowhere banned me with the reason of shill bidding. Meaning I bid on my own auction. Of course that never happened. I even have proof that never happened, but Flippa won't even write me back. They don't listen to the sellers. They don't care about customer protection, nor about seller protection. Sites if full of scammers and they banned me, one of the only legit sellers, and I can't even prove my case.

My name is Norbert Fazekas, I did what they say I made their money and they banned me without a reason.

If you are looking to sell my advice is:

NEVER USE FLIPPA for your own good.

If you are looking to buy my advice is:

NEVER USE FLIPPA for your own good.

They did this in a way that many buyers are left without the completion of our transaction, and I can not communicate with them about what happened.

  • No communication.

  • No protection.

  • High costs.

  • Buggy Platform.

  • Scammers everywhere especially at Flippa headquarters.

No protection for sellers.

Hi All,

Flippa does not protect their sellers. I am a blogger, someone named(Justin) read my comment on any blog where I usually post comments and that person(Justin) reach me via my email(he got from blog) in which he offered me that If I pay him$250/month then he will help me to generate fake revenue to boost my sale on Flippa I was not agreed with it. I reported Flippa 4rth August but until today they did not replied me+ they did not took action against that guy Justin. This clearly shows that the Flippa does not protect their seller but only those post scam/spam comments.

Thank you

Bad customer service and scam
Sep 02, 2019 07:37 PM2453 Views (via Mobile)

I buy a site to seller who looked serious 10 years old, 100% positive opinion. the site was 4 months old and would generate $ 3000 on average, it was very interesting. the seller promises to provide his own facebook advertising method. what I had is not the same thing, the seller has to delete the customer database because after him it's forbidden, he provided me facebook training found on the net and it dates from early 2018. the seller did not provide me these old advertising, so I do not know how he generated money during the 4 months. for me it was useless to keep the site. so I decided to give it back. this is where the problem starts, to make the referral on godaddy, it took 2 weeks. he claimed that the back link did not work, I had to contact godaddy about a dozen times, for nothing. So I decided to create a second godaddy account and try to send it to the new account, and everything works, so I send all his flippa, and the seller, and magically the return walk. now that the seller has received the domain, he is no longer responding. and two days later I get a flippa mail that has suspended my account and close the dispute, saying that the seller has to prove that he will repay me! unbelievable ! I lost $ 1000 for nothing

Never buy business on Flippa
Mar 10, 2019 03:16 AM2879 Views

The Flippa is not a platform suitable for puchasing websites and running your own businesses. It is a platform when everybody tries to trick you, and even support never from Flippa Escrow service cannot help to solve the dispute. All they say that you should independently negotiate new terms by which you will end the deal. Customer support claims that it works for 24/7, however they respond to queries with 1-2 days delay.

Flippa-Online Websites,Domain Selling
Sep 05, 2018 07:51 PM2979 Views

Absolute useless company, I have ever seen in my life. I have listed multiple times, So what am saying is 100% geniune.

1) Auction listing is 29$ which is too high for 14 days

2) No guarantee it will sell in 14 days, if not you will loose 29$

3) Classified listing - 9$, no body will see and it will not sell

4) Flippa will keep on motivating the buyer to go for upgrade, so that seller will shave his bank balance

5) Recently I have placed a listing for 300$, there was one bidder who quoted 100$, few days ago Flippa advised me to lower my reserve price, and he forced me to change the reserve price to 101$, I was happy, today auction is ending 4 hours to go, Now the buyer escaped saying my bid is 100$, but your reserve price is 101$, Actually I thought of changing the reserve price to 100$ from 101$, but Flippa is not allowing me to change

So what will happen, listing will end without selling

So Seller has lost money of 29$, website is not sold

but Flippa got 29$.

Like this he has cheated several sellers and he is happy sitting in Australia.

My advise to all is "Never List to Sell in Flippa".

So that Flippa will become bankrupt and come to Road

Because cheaters should not survive in this world, meaning he should never cheat again anyone, let this be a lesson.
