Unacceptable Experience with Dragon Fly mumbai in jw marriot Booking Confirmation Process


disappointment and frustration regarding the recent Despite making the reservation well in advance, I was shocked to find that my booking was confirmed before two days and they are asking 50k billing charges you have to pay for confirmation and we are 7 in number. This lack of confirmation created unnecessary stress and uncertainty for me and my guests. It is important to note that timely booking confirmation is a basic expectation when reserving a table at any establishment, and the fact that this was not upheld has left me quite dissatisfied. experience I had with your establishment's booking confirmation process. I made a reservation at your place two days in advance for an important occasion, expecting a seamless and enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, my experience with Dragon Fly mumbai has been far from satisfactory.

I had booked a resturant theo brookside lounge on Saturday 8th july for 20 friends that too 1 week prior so that I don't have too run for table at last moment for which dineout gave me a confirmation now too my surprise I reach the resturant on 8th and the resturant is closed non working then how come the app took the booking so friends please check the app has no support system to call up and talk also how did they book a table when the resturant was not functioning.Think what embarrassment we had to face immediately we had to run and see tables at another restaurant

I had made a UPI payment from Govt. Recognized- Canara Bank of amount 2763 to Dineout wherein they responded that payment is still with your bank. I contacted the bank wherein they put charge on Dineout but they rejected giving no response. Then bank had put an arbitration on Dineout which again they rejected. So, please don't do any transactions with Dineout as they would grab your hard earned money & blame your bank. Now, they are not even responding to my mails.


Beaware - Dineout are Frauds - Grab money & Don't Respond

The Dineout app promises 25% discount on a particular restaurant, but while paying the bill it says not available now. Called the call center and they ask me to settle it with the restaurant directly. Why are they advertising false information on the site. Just all am eye wash. Don’t buy the passport membership.

They will promise you 10% off while paying at restaurants using dineout pay but they will neither offer you an instant discount or a cashbank at the payment page. Basically a click bait. And as per the update from customer service they have stopped providing promocash.


So how do you get this 10% off? The answer from customer service is "We want to thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, your feedback is appreciated and shared with the team concerned" which in short means "You have been fooled into using dineout".

Chronology of events


We have a paid yearly membership of Dineout Passport




  1. Booked a "deal" mentioned on app for 29th Oct




  2. Paid the money upfront. Got confirmation




  3. On 29th @12noon get a call from the Hotel stating they cannot honour as this is not valid anymore




  4. Contact customer support and tell them. They say it is valid. But do not offer any support




  5. Have to cancel our party




  6. Ask Dineout to refund. Send a mail with details




  7. We are told it will be done in 48 hours. After 48 hours we are told it will take 7 days. Post that we are told it will take 15 days




  8. After 7 days when we enquire we are put on hold for 25 min and then disconnected




  9. Then we are told to write a mail with the details again




  10. We write in along with a note that will reach out to consumer forum




  11. Use social media to raise the issue






12 Finally "Dineout" responds and after 25 days we get our refund


P.S: It is OK if one wants to get some discount. Not recommended for bookings / payment in advance

Dineout app had promised 25percent discount on total bill. It was rejected as dineout app was not approving the same. I lodged a complaint on 19th dec2021. Was promised resolution in 48hrs. Now today 1st jan2022 inspite of repeated reminders no resolution standard . Thanks for ur patience looking into the matter.

Very useful website.It can be use to save your money. Easy to use . Avail you a good amount of discount on restaurant and cafes bills. Loved this website very much and really addicted to use. I use this app every time I go for outing to eat.

I have been using this service for two months and have bought the premium package, and NEVER have any of my reservations been successfully confirmed. You are much better off calling the establishment yourself and avoiding Dineout completely. Utterly useless and frustrating.

I had been out with my Friends to a restaurant on 07 -11-2021. Paid via the app, to another restaurant by mistake. I have shared the screenshort of paid payment to the restaurant manager where we had dined out…he might be not checked properly that we made the payment to wrong restaurant and said we can go now, after 2days back I got a call from them by saying we made wrong payment, since then I am regularly in touch with dineout to resolve this and refund my payment, so that I can pay to the correct outlet. there's no action.only standard emails which I got from them.and then suddenly they started saying that we have to clear the payment of correct restaurant then they will refund my amount.

I Have booked through Dineout with Up to 10% discount+ Newcoustomer discount(Rs200/-) and an additional 20% off on the bill. Bill is 7101/- but they gave only 354/- discount. when I called the Dineout call center below is the response.




  1. They don't know the details exactly.




  2. For every query they will say "We are really sorry".




  3. They said they will arrange a call back which never happened.




  4. When I called the next time, they said they are helpless.






Very very strongly NOT RECOMMENDED TO GO WITH DINEOUT.


I also request not to go with dineout.

Very worst service ever....


We went for dinner & after finishing our dinner, we did not able to pay bill using dinout pay option, i discussed with customer care, they said that online reservations and dine out pay option off for Saturday and Sunday, why we used only for weekdays, this is very pathetic and bad service provided by dineout.

Very bad service no one accepts this dine out, its better they close the this company. All the restaurants are against dine out they don't even know what is dineout.
