Disappointing Experience at Vijaya Honda, Kelambakkam(Chengalpattu)


As a 15-year Honda customer, I feel compelled to share my recent experience at Vijaya Honda's Kelambakkam service center. My vehicle(TN14 AF6995) went in for routine maintenance, but what followed was deeply concerning:


?? Delayed delivery


?? Unattended billing counter during business hours


?? Physical damage to the bike:




  • Tank cover damaged




  • Registration barcode sticker forcefully removed






?? Quality deterioration post-service


?? Unprofessional staff behavior:




  • Counter staff refused to address concerns




  • Attempted to rush FSC code without inspection




  • Hostile response to legitimate complaints






?? No bills are provided for payments


I witnessed similar disorganization with other customers - bikes being mistakenly washed instead of repaired, and paid customers left waiting without their vehicles.


A particularly disappointing aspect is the stark contrast between their sales enthusiasm and after-sales service quality. For a recognized brand like Honda, this level of service is unacceptable.


It is fraud / cheating service center for Honda

During giving bike for service, I clearly told No engine oil change. But they billed it. After I asked them back they said it is not changed, by fault they put it. No need to pay for that.


here drama started, they have take my bike in to service place and cleared full oil and ported which was dirty oil

Bunch of cheaters, Not a good place to buy a new bike. Many hidden charges, if u ask any questions they are trained in managing by saying "this is that nd that is this". Worst experience I ever had in buying a bike. They don't give everything written in the quotation, for me they didn't give helmet. Comparably price is 2 to 3k more than other showrooms.


They say complete extra fittings as mandatory or if u argue with them then they'll come down and say should buy accessories for atleast 3k. That's what happened when I bought activa, I don't knw what they say for other bikes

Hi guys, now iam sharing to my own experience for bought bike.


last 9 months I bought honda cb shine 125 cc.


for this vijaya honda showroom,


before buying this bike every on can responsible with the customer


but after buying the bike could not to response the service,


one time iam going to ft service


they people could not to proper service and delivery should not a proper timing


finance is very bad for us one month you not paying emi could late for one day


they will bw fine with us Rs.500.

At the outset let me say that this kind of issue is epidemic across all the showrooms and since I had an experience from this showroom I am writing this.


I bought a Honda Dio last month from Vijaya Honda. The purchase experience was very smooth and since it was Diwali time, I guess I had a good deal also .


I got the service manual during purchase which clearly stated I have 4 FREE services spanning for the next one year. The first service to be done within 30 days of purchase and it had a cap of 750-1000 kms.


Since it was only 30 days, and since I dont use the vehicle much, I had spent only 250 odd kms while giving the vehicle for service.


To my shock, the service person told there is an estimated Rs.350 for this service. I asked what is the reason. He said " we need to apply oil". I asked him what oil - what is going to change within 250 kms and what is the need to change oil.


He said, I was handed over the vehicle without any oil and hence we need to apply this for sure.


When I took the vehicle back, he had charged around 250 for the oil for the new vehicle and he had also charged Rs.75 towards "Consumables" - when I asked what is a consumable, he said " we have applied grease all over".


My question to him was what is the need for a change in the vehicle which is not even one month and that too at an exorbitant rate of Rs.350. He said, they charge this for all customers and I am no different.


Long and short is this. such showrooms make more money in "service" than in sales. All the free services are humbug. they charge you anyway.


But what I dont understand is what is the need for making Rs.350 onto a vehicle which was just taken from your showroom. and if within one month if you are able to keep hands on the vehicle for Rs.350, how much would be your vehicle cost after 4 services?


I could not argue with them since they would not release my vehicle for me. So I gave the money.


But Lessons Learnt:




  1. Always ask "what is the break up of the cost.




  2. Give strict instructions - nothing should be added without your permssion.




  3. Know your vehicle before you hand over so that they cannot manipulate with lack of your knowledge.

Beware of this service center


I met a small accident 2 weeks before. The front suspension was creating little noise when crossing road bumps.


I went to this service center as it is close to my workplace. They charged me around 5, 000 rupees for changing fork and suspension.


Exactly after 2 weeks I heared the same noise from the same place. Again I approached them. This time they said fork is bend and asked 3500 rupees.


I argued them that this is due to the service fault. And ask them to replace the part, if it does have warranty.


They refused everything. They blamed me that I again hit the vehicle that caused this fork bend. Finally I had to pay the amount, as I had no other option.


In addition to this, they stole the half tank petrol from my vehicle.


I would suggest you not to go this service center. If you have no other choice, check with them throughly about the service, check online about the service and more importantly, note the fuel limit in the service card.


Surely HONDA brand and quality will be damaged by such service centers. Honda must check their dealers quality service.

Beware. Group of Frauds are there in Vijaya Honda, Kelambakkam, Chennai. It is located near Navalur Toll Plaza Chennai.


I went to there to replace the Engine oil for my Honda Bike. The Oil costs Rs 260/-(MRP which includes all tax). However they refuesed to sell. instead they said they will do the replacement.


I got the bill for Rs 402/- after the replacement. They charged Rs 310 for oil and labour Rs 92/- just for replacement(In shell it is free of cost).


Almost all the customers argued with them for various reasons and the place looks like a fishmarket in the evening when the customer comes to pickup his vehicle.


Overall, think before you approach this service center. I reported this to Honda and they replied they will take necessary action. Lets see
