I purchased a philips TV no 21PT3429/94 Serial No. BJ1A0936012937 on 5-Dec-2009.Within six months itself it started giving problems with the volume functions not working at times.Finally the volume functions stopped working at all.I could not increase decrease, mute the TV.
For this I registered a complaint 999988990437852 on 10-Oct-2010.The service engineer came to check the TV and returned without fixing the TV set with a promise that he will be back to fix it. Later I received a message that my complaint has been closed.
Again when I contacted Philips consumer care, I found that my complaint has been closed .I was forced to register a new complaint No.999981780446421 on 21-Oct-2010.The same service engineer called me and enquired about the problem and promised to come but after repeated calls he did not come and again I recieved a message that my second complaint has also been closed.
I registered a complaint for the third time No. 99981750458748.This time he came looked at the TV but could not fix the problem.He said he will back to collect the TV and take it to service centre for repair.
Same day itself I got another message from Philips that my complaint has been resolved.
As you can see I complaint 3 times to this shitty piece of crap company called philips and despite that my TV has not been fixed.
My advice is if you want to buy a TV consider customer service also and then make a decision.
I am disgusted with the company's behaviour would never recommend philips to anybody
( By the way I was a proud owner of Philips TV for 8 years so only I purchased this but lately their customer service has gone down the drain.)
I am planning to throw this TV and buy a new one.
