Pathetic LG After Sales Service

My 32" LG LCD TV Model No. 32LH70YR is under AMC contract which ends two years from now. For the past 3-4 weeks, I have noticed a strange discolouration problem in the LCD. There are greenish spots all over the screen. It looks as if the colours have burnt out. The TV set was working satisfactorily till now but suddenly these spots have appeared which tend to get quite irritating while watching the TV. Seeing other reviews in MouthShut_Official.com, I have now realised that others also have experienced these problems.


As I am working, I get time only in the mornings before 10:30AM or in the evening after 7PM. While complaining about my TV(complaint no: RNA110627065769 made nearly 1 week ago), I had specifchandru021y mentioned that the person should be sent only in these timings. A lady representative promised my time constraints will be rRajeev_Vermacted and the service person will be sent accordingly. There is no one at home in my absence, which also has been made clear to the lady representative.


An absolutely rude, unprofessional and uncouth person called me up on behalf of LG the next day at around 2-3pm and said that he will come "now". I mentioned that I have already informed their his office about my timings. He FLATLY REFUSED and said that in the mornings his office opens at 11:30 AM(!) and that HE WILL NOT come in the evening. This is indeed surprising as I have 5 LG Split ACs installed at my place and whenever an issue arises with any of them and a complaint is made, an LG representative arrives within 1-2 hours(once even at 10 AM in the morning).


Nearly 7-8 emails have been exchanged with serviceindia@lge.com and everytime I get a response that my issue has been forwarded to the concerned department. Their "concerned department" doesn't seem very concerned about their customtakeouters.


I am now inclined to believe that their Kolkata department are not willing to honour their AMC contract, Rajeev_Vermacially since the problem lies with the picture tube/panel, the most important component of the TV.


It is indeed very surprising that a loyal customtakeouter like me, who has 5 LG Aplit ACs, 1 LG Fridge, 1 LG Washing Machine and 1 LG TV, is being given such treatment.


I'll be sending a link to this review in my next email to them. I hope that changes their casual attiMr_customtakeouter towards customtakeouter service.


Life is not Good with LG

I have purchased a LG LCD TV full HD model on 1st May 2010 at Bhubaneshwar. I was located at Barbil and service was available only on Saturday / friday in a week. My TVs picture went off on 3rd April 2011. After lodging complaint the service person came ofter few days and informed he had to order for some parts. I kept on following up in vain.


I relocated to Hyderabad and lodged a fresh complaint on 25/04/2011. With great reluctance the service person arrived and informed he had to get the part. Again same story. It will come today / tomorrow same evasive reply. I tried to call the seniors. No use. People behave differently while selling and after selling.


Update as on 14-05-11. I have called everybody possible. My TV is still not repaired. Life is not at all good with LG.

LCD Panel problem

We have purchased this LCD TV on 1st January 2010 and within few days I noticed a discoloration, a bright glow on the left corner of the screen, however due to prior commitments I was not in city for 3 weeks therefore we have put in a complaint regarding the same on returning on 16th February.


Till today 22nd 4 times service people have visited us and have been trying various permutations and combinations to remove the discoloration, but no improvement, only it is getting bigger and more prominent.


Guess what LG is saying no replacement though the TV is brand new. Finally yesterday they send an opened panel (not TV) to replace our current new panel. There was no description, no date of manufacturing. Hence we refused to accept the same. On further probing the service staff packed up and run away. I am sure something was not right.


We are looking for a replacement now, I am not sure whether it will fall in their ears.

I am planning to buy LG 32LH70YR soon. After checking out almost all brands ranging from Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Sharp, Toshiba, Videocon, Sansui, Sharp, Philips etc to Vu, Moserbaer, etc, I found that no other LCD model in 32’’ is providing all these features in one.


Full HD, USB 2.0 with DivX, HDMI, Bluetooth, 100000:1 contrast ratio, 100 Hz motion flow i.e. 2.4 ms response time and crystal design. I tested the bluetooth feature by playing mp3 songs from my samsung mobile on this LCD directly. I also compared almost all LCD for the 100 Hz feature by turning on a fast scrolling business news channel. LG performed the best. Sound is slightly less, but more than sufficient for home use with DTH connection. Also, the moving LED light on the power button looks really cool. I also verified 3-4 LCDs for the panel quality by knocking the panel and smoothly scratching it with my nail. LG’s panel quality is the best, others leave slight black marks temporarily.


I am getting a best deal of 34K in Pune under exchange with my old AKAI 29’’ CTV and 39K without exchange.


AWESOME TV FOR THE PRICE AND PERFORMANCE

LG just lauched the new product LG LH70 Scarlet 2. I was really impressed with the features they offered vis-a-vis other LCD.


Although I was more biased towards SAMSUNG as I heard that they are mkt leader in LCD, but new LG scarlet 2 features are very good.


First thing which strikes me was that you can play video in USB, which is not possible for other LCD TVs including SAMSUNG. In other TV you can only watch pictures and listen songs.


Bluetooth features is very innovative but that is only good for seeing pictures from you mobile or from other bluetooth devices. There are 3 HDMI outputs and when I connected my laptop with LCD I was really impressed with the quality of output.


However there are few issue with the model which I came to know after using it for a month. First they have all the connection on the back side, That made the TV very thin but if you are connecting different devices to your TV then it could be a problem. Best idea here is you keep the wiring of all possible connection attached.


Earlier I had mention sound quality here, But I would appologise that it was my mistake and sound quality is not an issue with the model, but I am finding difficulty in playing audio files through Bluetooth. Apart from the above issue I am extremely satisfied with my new LCD TV. And full HD TV for a price of forty thousand rupees is not a bad deal with thin model, bluetooth, 3 HDMI connection and USB.
