Then the action unfolds with a Russian intervention who reveals that the success of Energion is misused by opponents by adulterating the drink with a life threatening steroid, which will start giving side effects after few years. A million more questions but there is just one answer just watch the film for the rest. Analysis : Maattrraan-review Surya shows distinct differences between both the characters in looks, dressing and behavior. And he excels in acting under as visioned by the director. Especially Surya's make over as Akhilan with traits of Vimalan creeping up post his death, are absorbing. Kajol tags on well. Vivek is good in his comedy. Isha Sherwani cameo provided the necessary twist in the film which moved at a rapid pace, only after her entry. This film will be a milestone for the entire crew. Technical values in the special facial scanning led by VFX Supervisor V. Srinivas Mohan is awesome and path breaking to the Indian Panorama. Harris Jayaraj grooved well into the slot of the film by rendering different genre songs for the moods of both the characters. 'Yaaro Yaaro' by Thamarai sung by Karthik & Priya Himesh is one that is sure ring in your heart once out of the ambiance. Performance : Maattrraan-review Surya is the most dependable star who could be banked on to carry on the mission till the last frame. He once again vouches the fact. Surya vs Surya is well enacted aided by technology and wonderful cinematography. The plot is thick packed with powerful narration. Songs are well placed and pleasant.
Action takes charge after the first 45 mts of the film. Prior to that, it is just introduction and development of the love triangle, that takes center stage. Surya as Akhilan excels when confronted with the death of his body double. And the ways he tries to lure Kajol amidst the thick of happenings is also quite interesting. French star Reda Oumouzone has done his best as a suave hulk in the negative role. In a nutshell: Surya as conjoined twins portrays the best and he can expect to hog limelight at the awards at all levels. Fans are sure to repeatedly visit this film which is a double delight. Maattrraan shall be a landmark to Surya and falls in the not-to-miss genre. Final Word: Action, Action and entertainment, ideal movie for the weekends.
